Spring Birdhouses

Hello! I’m so happy to share these Spring Birdhouses with you today. These can be made into slimline cards OR Pop-up cards and I’m going to show you how easy they are to make! Of course, once I started making them I just had to make a rainbow of birdhouses. (That’s the logical thing to do, right?!)

I have a video showing how to put these together and how to make both the card AND Pop-up card. I love them both…and you can stand them up to make a Spring decor piece, too! Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

For most of these birdhouses, I used the Woodgrain die cut…but sometimes I only EMBOSSED that woodgrain into the paper. It really creates a great look and it’s a bit of a variation from the die cut itself.

See that woodgrain embossed on this purple card? It is my new favorite background! I added some Layered Daisies dies on this one and the You Are Beautiful medallion, which is an incentive die when you purchase a qualifying amount at the Scrappy Tails shop.

The Mother’s Day sentiment dies are also among my favorites and I used them on these cards:

Left to right: embossed woodgrain background, White woodgrain die on cream cardstock, kraft woodgrain die on cream cardstock.

I love all the variety you can get with these Birdhouses and the Woodgrain background. Imagine all the colors you could die cut these from, OR emboss multiple colors of cardstock! I just couldn’t stop with these birdhouses!

The hummingbirds are from the Mama Birds Stamp set, and the other colorful birds are from the Spring Birds stamp set. I’ve listed and linked them all below if you want to check them out.

All the flowers used in all these cards are from the Layered Daisies dies. I love these because there are such a variety of flowers. You get some front facing flowers like the ones on the pink card, and some reaching up to the sun like the ones on the orange card! So many to choose from.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! I sure loved making them. Check out the video for more details on how to put these together and make them stand up! Thanks for stopping by.

Hummingbird Card for Mom

Hello! Today I have a card to share with the brand new March release from Scrappy Tails Crafts. I fell in love with these hummingbirds right away and knew I wanted to make a card for Mom (her favorite birds!)

I also used the new Layered Daisy dies, which I just made into one layer for this card, but I think they layer up even more for so much drama!

I colored all the images and the die cuts with Copic Markers. I attached some with foam tape and some I adhered directly to the card so a dimensional look.

There are so many beautiful products in this release! I got the birdhouse pop-up set and I can’t WAIT to show you some fun projects with that. And, they are having a promotion (see photo above)! Go check it out.

Scrappy Tails Crafts is a new stamp company, I think this might be their third release! Sabrina, the owner, is so kind and talented and I think her products are high quality. Definitely worth a look if you love supporting small businesses!

Hope you enjoyed!

Easy Box Card

Hello! Today I have a fun and easy box card tutorial for you. I recently found this new die and I am now in love. So today, I’m sharing how to put together a box card that will fold flat in an A7 envelope! This is a tea party box card, and I’ve also made a coordinating regular card to go with it.

Watch all the details on how to make them in my video below, or in HD on YouTube:

I love these images, too…the tulips, the cupcake on a plate, the bowl of fruit. They are just dreamy!

Valentine Conversation Heart Bear

Hello again! It’s that time again…time to create some Valentine’s for your loved ones. Today I have a Valentine Conversation Heart Bear card to share. I was inspired by those conversation heart candies released at this time of year. I never eat them (do you like them?) but they sure are cute for a sweet message!

After I made this card, I ran out to get some just for this photo shoot. Lol!

I have a video showing you masking techniques and coloring techniques for this one-layer card. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I loved this set so much, that I made a second card using the box of chocolates! This time, I went a little more formal with blacks and reds as the color scheme:

Happy Valentine’s Day! I call it Hug Day, but I guess right now Hugs are a little difficult to get. At least you can still get chocolate!
