Spring Chipboard Shakers

Hello! I recently received some new Chipboard Shakers from Cobblestone Creek Studios! Come along with me as I unbox them and create 3 cute Spring Shakers…

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

These Chipboard Shakers are fun to personalize and paint! For some, I even used oxide Inks! Watch the video to see the tricks for using inks on these.

I love to create these and try new strategies for coloring them. I even used some patterned paper on a few of them! These are the 3 I create with you in the video, but there are soooo many more options:

The Bunny Silhouettes look so cute for this mini postage shaker…I added some beautiful Pastel Plaid paper in the background for this one. This bunny set is a new die set from Whimsy Stamps, and I love it! You can add tails in different colors and patterns (here I did chocolate bunnies with little pink tails!)

Who can resist a sweet Highland Cow Shaker?! I made this one with my granddaughter (who is 6 years old) and she loved choosing the colors and the shaker bits for it!

For a real chocolate looking drip, add distress oxides or brown shiny lacquer to the design, like I did here!

For the cute bug lovers, how about a butterfly in a jar shaker….or a little ladybug shaker?!? These may be my favorites!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these shaker projects today! Stop by Cobblestone Creek Studios to see all the varieties of shakers they offer! Happy Spring,

Kari

Shake for Luck!

Hello! Today I have a Lucky Shaker card and video to share. This is a quick St. Patrick’s Day card that’s so fun to create. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I started by stenciling the Hug in a Mug stencil and adding the clovers & shamrocks with the Holiday Icons stencil. Then I cut the acetate from the Postage Seal & Shaker Collection dies. This is how I created my own full panel shaker…and it makes a perfect card front! (it’s so nice and flat, too…which is why I love creating my own)

Next I added my shaker sequins in gold & green, and closed up the front panel acetate. Watch the video for how to do this!

I finished it off with a small tag and gold glitter letters.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Just shake this card for luck! I hope you enjoyed this project. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Valentine Postage Stamp designs

Hello! Today I’m sharing some Valentine Postage Stamp designs and of course they are perfect to share on this day…Valentine’s Day! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I’ve been designing my own postage stamps for a while now and I might be obsessed! Ha, ha! I try new techniques and themes each time, but one thing they all have in common? They all start with the Postage Seal and Shaker Collection from Miss Ink Stamps!

Then I brought in some of my favorites from the Alice Collection, and some great stencils: the Filigree Card Suits stencil, the Handdrawn hearts stencil, and Hug in a Mug Layering Stencil. All these products brought together help with the creativity in bringing these designs to life!

I hope you will watch the video to see the process.

Foxy Square Shaker for Valentine’s Day

Hello! Today I have a Foxy Square Shaker for Valentine’s Day. This is a fun one and I just love this fox image! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

This shaker is unique because I used a RECTANGLE frame die and did some selective die cutting to make it a square. I love a square shaker….and it’s the perfect size to frame those trees.

The frame is cut from a copper glitter cardstock, which is a great compliment to the vibrant foxes! I share how I colored up those foxes in the video, so I hope you’ll take a look.

The happy smiling foxes are my favorite! I used some pink irridescent shaker pieces for the shaker part to coordinate with my pink trees, pink grass, and blush pink hearts on the frame. So fun!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. Thanks for stopping by today! See you soon with more cards!

Llama Letters

Hello! I have a Whole Llama love card to share with this Llama Letters card! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I love this little llama image…isn’t this sentiment just perfect for a Valentine card?

I started with the little envelopes from the Lots of Letters die set. They are extra cute in maroon and pink with a little gold heart, right?! I just adore these envelope and I’ve used them a lot. I cut a square the perfect size to fit 9 envelopes.

Next, I stenciled the background with Pumice Stone Oxide ink. I love grey & pink together.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible.
