Snowy Background

Hello! Today I’m taking a forest background stamp and turning it into a SNOWY background stamp. I love that this background stamp from Miss Ink Stamps is so versatile. The “river” could also become a “pathway” and you can color it for any season.

Today I”m making it winter, with snow all around. I have a video to show you how I did this, watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I added lots of glitter to make it glisten in the sun! This was a delight to color. I hope you enjoyed!

How to Stretch a Stencil for a Slimline Card

Hello! Today I have a fun project and video for you…I’m sharing how to “stretch” a stencil to fit on a Slimline card. This is a fun and easy process and you can use almost any stencil you have.

I’m using Miss Ink Stamps & stencils to show you how; watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

https://youtu.be/1vxexb9qIbo

Aren’t these gnomes cute?!

For the background, I chose six Distress Inks to match my gnomes that I already colored with Copic Markers. The Inks I used are: Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Evergreen Bough, Speckled Egg, and Dusty Concord.

If you like making slimline cards, keep this technique in your back pocket! Look for stencils you already own that have a repeating background and give it a try.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Pumpkin Spice Gnomes

Hello! I’m so happy to share these two Pumpkin Spice cards with you using supplies from Miss Ink Stamps. I love their new release, which includes all these adorable gnome images! Today I’m sharing how much color affects your cards…I’ve created two cards, with two colorways.

Card 1

I’m using cool colors in this first card…adding some snow details with a white pen and white Nuvo drops. I love the cool color look with a soft background!

Card 2

On the second card, I changed the background and added some rainbow detail to the pumpkin house. But all the other colors remain the same! Wow…see how much a few color changes can completely change the feeling of the card?

I’m sharing all the details in the video below, or watch in in HD on YouTube:

I hope you enjoy this one!

Queen’s Castle becomes the Haunted Mansion!

Hello! Today I have a fun Halloween card using the Queen’s Castle from Miss Ink Stamps. This is a beautiful castle, but when you color it up just a little differently, it becomes a Haunted Mansion!

I paired it with the Boo Crew stamp set Trick-or-Treaters. How cute are they!? I love that the rabbit, mouse, and raccoon are all dressed as ghosts!

I’ve been waiting for the perfect card to blend these ink colors together for a background. This is the perfect card for these colors!

I have a video showing you how to re-create this card, watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I added that moon behind the castle using a simple circle die. Easy masking makes it all possible! (for all the details, see the above video!)

Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back soon with more card ideas.
