Extra-Terrestrial Investigation

Hello, today I have a fun card that’s a murder mystery turned extra-terrestrial investigation! Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I had a little fun with this one when I saw the glasses stamp in the Whodunnit Stamp set. I colored them up to look like sunglasses and then put them on one of the characters.

This Hello From Mars stamp set is so cute…and perfect for when an investigation turns to a Roswell situation. I know, I know…those footprints look like HUMAN footprints. They are very good at the element of mimicry. Lol.

Once he’s done with THIS investigation, he will definitely need a new package of hand sanitizing wipes!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this card today. It was so much fun to create. See you soon with more cards!

Hello, She Wrote

I am absolutely loving the new sets from Miss Ink Stamps, including this Hello, She Wrote stamp that’s included with the new Whodunnit Stamp set! I have a video sharing how I created the card and the file folder card base below.

Watch it here or on YouTube:

This card was a blast to make, and I thought the crime scene file folder worked nicely with the theme! I created the file folder using the envelope punch board (watch my video to see how it’s done). Then I used a variety of stamps from the Whodunnit and True Crime stamp sets.

I love the “allegedly” on the file folder label, but the inside sentiment *might* be my favorite! Lol.

I hope you enjoyed this card & video today. Thanks for stopping by!

New True Crime Stamps

Hello! I’m excited to share that Miss Ink Stamps has a new release and it’s all about Mystery! Murder Mystery, that is! Check out my video for a look at the new sets and a tutorial on my latest card:

These new sets are just so fun to MIX and MATCH!! I cannot stop playing. Look at some of the details from the Whodunnit and True Crime stamp sets: evidence tents, a muddy shoeprint, and a little doggy sidekick! Those are just a FEW of what is available in these sets.

I used the new Spatter stencil in the background of the black rectangle center panel using Distress Oxide inks. I really love how Oxide inks look on black cardstock.

Of course I couldn’t resist the little dog sidekick to go with my focal image! It’s just too cute!

The background is stamped with a previously release stamp set called Magical Newspaper. I loved the soft look of it stamped with grey ink.

I chose a sentiment that made me giggle. When I stamped it out on a sentiment strip, it “needed” some rounded corners and a little distress ink to make it all come together. Then I attached it to the right of the black rectangle panel.

I loved the crime scene tape…and for that I stamped in black ink on bright yellow cardstock! It really stands out now!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Shake for Luck!

Hello! Today I have a Lucky Shaker card and video to share. This is a quick St. Patrick’s Day card that’s so fun to create. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I started by stenciling the Hug in a Mug stencil and adding the clovers & shamrocks with the Holiday Icons stencil. Then I cut the acetate from the Postage Seal & Shaker Collection dies. This is how I created my own full panel shaker…and it makes a perfect card front! (it’s so nice and flat, too…which is why I love creating my own)

Next I added my shaker sequins in gold & green, and closed up the front panel acetate. Watch the video for how to do this!

I finished it off with a small tag and gold glitter letters.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Just shake this card for luck! I hope you enjoyed this project. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I’ve been designing my own postage stamps for a while now and I might be obsessed! Ha, ha! I try new techniques and themes each time, but one thing they all have in common? They all start with the Postage Seal and Shaker Collection from Miss Ink Stamps!

Then I brought in some of my favorites from the Alice Collection, and some great stencils: the Filigree Card Suits stencil, the Handdrawn hearts stencil, and Hug in a Mug Layering Stencil. All these products brought together help with the creativity in bringing these designs to life!

I hope you will watch the video to see the process.
