Pet Sympathy Rainbow Bridge

Hello, today I have a sad post to write. I am sad to create this card today, but grateful for my very special furry friend. My dog, Snickers, has crossed the rainbow bridge. He lived a very long life…he was 17 1/2 years old! But his body was done, and he left us on Tuesday evening.

I created this card before he died, but I didn’t do the voiceover for the video for 2 days afterwards. I think I held it together enough to get the video done, luckily it’s a short video!

The most difficult part of loving a pet is saying goodbye. I agree. It was so hard for me to lose my sweet Snickers. He would spend HOURS with me in the craft studio and since he’s been gone, I haven’t created anything new.

I do believe it will get easier. And there will be a time when I wake up not expecting him to be there. But today, I am still looking for him, and waiting to hear that jingle walking behind me…

I love adding foil to a stenciled card. I show you just how I did it in the video above. And while this is a simple card, it holds quite a lot of meaning.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Easy Foiled Backgrounds with Toner Sheets

Hello! Today I have FOUR cards to share with you using Toner sheets to create four easy foiled backgrounds.

I recently fell in love with these toner sheets, and I have a video sharing just how to create them so EASILY with this one trick. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I started with some kraft Toner Sheets called Chic Chevrons and foiled it with the beautiful Lapis Watercolor foil (all supplies listed below). This created a great background, but I still had quite a bit of beautiful foil that hadn’t been used. So I took that LEFTOVER foil and put in on a toner sheet and ran it thru the Minc machine. BAM! Another beautiful foiled background to create a card!

That sentiment cracks me up…it’s a Simple Sentiment from Maker Forte! So many great ones in this kit that you can cut out and use on cards (or foil them up, too!) They are printed on toner sheets so they are also easily foiled!

I really couldn’t stop there! I tried some NEW TO ME Clear Toner Sheets next with flowers on them. These foil up so great! I tried the Summer Rainbow foil on them this time.

And of course I used the LEFTOVER foil from this one to create a second card!

Watch the video to see how I created all the detail on the Queen of Hearts dress, too! She wanted the roses red…and we got some of them right! But still she exclaims “Off With their Heads!” (You gotta love the Queen of Hearts).

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I hope you loved these easy foiled backgrounds today! These were fun to create. There are prizes to be won over at the Miss Ink Stamps blog and Thermoweb blog all this week. So head on over and leave a comment for your chance to win!

Six Impossible Things

Hello! Today I have a card with Alice! You know I love this series of stamps from Miss Ink Stamps, and today I have a NEW stamp set called “Wonderland Wisdom” that I’m creating a card with.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love this saying and it makes me think: I should be thinking impossible things! (or at least dreaming!)

Can you see that extra shine I added with the small stars and glitter?! This is a fun card to create and I absolutely love that stencil in the background.

I believe in you, Sunshine

Hello! Today I have a card using the prettiest Sunshine stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. I’m sharing a technique for using a stencil as a mask to create this sunny scene.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This sun stencil is so delicate and beautiful…look at those golden rays! For this card, I first inked on the clouds and the cloud swirls. Then I used that cloud stencil as a mask, added the sun rays stencil, and spread on the Gold Glitz Glitter Gel.

It works perfectly! I then added some Stickles to the cloud swirls…this makes it extra sparkly just like a “silver lining.” I thought the sentiment “I believe in you” (from the Lovely Unicorns stamp set) would be perfect for an uplifting encouragement card. I popped this up with foam tape on a blue sentiment strip.

I finished it by adding some little butterflies and a blue polka-dot mat frame.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Hope you enjoyed this project today!
