Floral Arranging with Stencils

Hello! I’m here with a card share and a PAPER flower arrangement using the new May 2019 Hedgehog Hollow Kit.

This kit is so full of beautiful florals, but I tried to focus and pick just one stamp to use with this card! Lol. I am also using the stencil in this kit to give the flowers in the jar look BIGGER and take up more space on the card.

See those stenciled leaves?

I’ve created a video for you to show just how fun this selective stenciling is, watch it below or on YouTube:

Here’s some close ups for you:

You know, I really DO think you are fabulous. Fabulous for stopping by, for saying hello, for giving me a thumbs up….for all or ANY of these things.

Have a fabulous day!

Quick Rooftop Gift Tag

Hello! I’ve been playing with the birdhouse stamp set from Art Impressions and I thought it would make a GREAT TAG! Especially with the sentiment that says “From our nest to yours.”

So today, I’m sharing this cute and quick tag; perfect for a neighbor using just the rooftops of those birdhouses!

And I have a short video to show you the easy watercoloring and strategies to make it look more 3D! Watch it below or on YouTube:

It’s a fun project and your neighbors will LOVE it! Thanks for stopping by!

Sequin Sublimation

Hello! I have one more project to share using the Artesprix Heat Transfer Markers that came in the Hedgehog Hollow March 2019 kit.

This was a fun one! I just could not wait to try sublimating on sequins!! So I found these pouches and gave it a try.

Check out my video below or on YouTube to see how to do this:

Now, who would’ve thought you could use these markers to heat transfer onto sequins!?!

Will it sublimate?

It worked! And I was surprised and delighted! For the instruction, be sure to watch the video posted above.

If you are interested in the pouches I used, find them here. You can get these markers from The Hedgehog Hollow (in the March 2019 kit).

Bee Happy Rainbow card with the HH February Kit

Hello! Today I have a cheerful card for you using products from the Hedgehog Hollow February kit. It starts with a rainbow of colors of Distress Ink so you know it’s going to be cheery! I used Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Orange Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Denim Jeans, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet. With all those colors, you are sure to smile! (at least they made me smile)

I used some die cut hexagons that would normally just be thrown out! But they were perfect for my project today. To adhere these in perfect alignment, I put all the colored hexagons into the die cut, then picked it all up with some Glad Press N Seal. Then I turned it over and added some glue ONLY to the rainbow pieces. I attached it all to the card panel, let it dry for a minute, then removed the die cut to reveal the perfect placement of all those beautiful hexagons!

I used the bees, bee trails and BEE happy sentiment from the stamp set that came in the February Kit, and as an outline for the bottom layer I used the small hexagon stamp repeatedly for the border.

I popped up those bees with some Scotch 3M foam tape (the mega roll!) to give more dimension. I put some craft foam between the top layer and the bottom layer for even more dimension!

I hope you enjoyed this cheery project today! Check out how you can get the Hedgehog Hollow Kit here. And she is taking pre-orders for the April Kit (which I hear has some Art Impressions!!)

See you next time!

You’re a Sweet Heart

Hello! Today I have some fun Geometric heart cards to share with you. I’m on the Hedgehog Hollow blog again today to talk all about how I made them, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek here! I used the same Distress Oxide colors on both cards: Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Weathered Wood.

Same colors, different techniques.

Check out the interest in that card on the left…in the geometric heart I added some “extras:” gold sparkle paint, Stardust Stickles for the glitter, and Glossy accents! It makes that heart look so magical in real life.
