First Rule of 2021

Hello! I’m back with a Wonderland card where the Queen of Hearts has given her first RULE! (Lol) Apparently this rule applies to us and also to those in Wonderland.

I chose some really bright colors for this palette! But I do love a bright colored card sometimes. Check out the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love how she’s pointing at Alice to make this statement! I colored up those mushrooms from the Pumpkin Spice Gnomes set and mirror imaged one of the large mushrooms. I wanted them to sort of “frame” the sentiment.

And see that keyhole in the background?! That’s from the “Knock Knock” stencil. This set is so cool because they include the negative pieces with the stencils so you can do a lot of neat techniques!

I added quite of bit of extra bling and detail to this card with a glitter pen, Nuvo drops, and embellishments. I don’t think you can ever have too much “extra.” Lol…at least on a card!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this fun project today! Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget about the RULE for 2021!!

Critters in the Woods

Hello! Today I have a card and video to share using the critters from the Hedgehog Hollow December Kit. I love these critters and so today I’m featuring FOUR of them as well as some fun techniques. I’m sharing ink smooshing, glitter, and gel techniques in todays card!

For the tutorial, watch my video below or in HD on YouTube:

To begin, I put four colors of Distress ink on my craft mat and spritzed it with water. Then I “smooshed” the bristol cardstock into the ink. I did this several times, drying the card with my heat tool in between each time.

Once I got it to a pretty stage, I allowed it to dry completely and then added some Metallix gel in Pearl White through the tree stencil. This gives a fun pearly shine.

I colored up the critters very simply and used some of the glitter in the box to add to their scarves and clothing. To do this, I simply added some liquid glue to the spots I wanted and sprinkled on the glitter. I allowed it to dry for a time before I shook off the excess glitter.

I cut out one of the toner sentiments from the kit, and added some NEW foil in the color Glass Slipper. I love this color! I ran it thru the Minc machine on the setting of 3.

Once the gel was dry, I added some green to the leaves using a Copic marker. Then I attached all the critters and sentiment to the card with foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Santa Claus is coming to Town

Hello! It’s THE week…the week that Santa Claus is coming to town! So today I have a special Santa Sleigh card, using TWO stencils that fit together perfectly! These are from Maker Forte and they are a dream to work with.

I started with Perfect Blend paper because it’s so smooth and makes it SO easy to ink blend. I added some Kaleidoscope powders in the new colors Yellowstone & Asteroid. These look so awesome and dreamy!

Check out the short video below, or in HD on YouTube to see how this all comes together:

Just look how that powder shines on this card:

I added a sentiment from the PAF: Tulips Outline Stamp set that says “Love your heart.” This set comes with lots of options for mixing & matching sentiments. I love the variety!

See those pens in the background? Those are the new Flower Gel Pen Set – Calla Lily. They are a black gel pen with a decorative flower on the end…so they look really pretty in a vase or pen holder!

Have an Amoosing Day

Hello! Today I have a MOOSE card to share, complete with a punny sentiment! These images are from the December Hedgehog Hollow Kit.

Oh is this kit filled with the cutest critters and sentiments! I just couldn’t resist this moose to make a card.

I searched and searched for some buffalo plaid paper to use for my background, and came across this red plaid paper. Good! Then I colored up the moose and the heart image.

I fussy cut those out and started to assemble the card. I really wanted a sort of “Half-wreath” for the moose to stand on; so I die cut some leaves from a die in my stash. This is from the new Altenew stand-alone die release and I have a feeling I’m going to get A LOT of use from this one!

I used liquid glue to adhere the leaves to the card panel, then I popped up the moose, heart, and sentiment with foam tape.

For extra detail, I added a heart enamel dot to the heart and a white frame around the entire panel.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

This makes me think of the time I saw a REAL moose in Jackson, Wyoming. I was on a ski lift and saw one off in the distance. And even though it was far away, it was still somehow MAJESTIC! Have you seen a moose in real life?

Thanks for stopping by today!
