Your Existence Makes the World Better

Yes it does! Hello again. Today I have the sweetest cards to share using a stamp set I’m completely in love with! I had the opportunity to meet the artist of this particular stamp and she is the greatest, too. You know how when you meet someone and you can just tell they are going to be a friend? Well, that’s how I feel about her.

When I saw this stamp I knew immediately what I wanted to create. First, a watercolor card. Then, a red/pink shaker card! So here’s what I made:

One watercolor, and one shaker card!

I’m loving these cards! I can already think of many, many people who I can send one of these to. Guess I need to make a few more cards with this one, right?!

I created a video to show you some tricks for pulling these cards together. Watch it below or on YouTube:

The first card is created using Zig clean color real brush markers. I used Bristol paper for this one because it seems to allow the watercolor to blend a little better. I can keep adding color and blending to add some darker areas, too. For some areas I used a waterbrush along with the Zigs, and for some I colored the Zigs on straight.

For the background on this one, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in matching colors. It really makes the panel pop, doesn’t it?!

I think these colors are so happy. I used a rectangle pierced die to cut out the panel before adding it to the background with fun foam.

The second card is colored with only pink and red Prismacolor pencils. I’m pretty sure I was inspired by Valentine’s day!

I cut the heart out on the center heart to create a shaker element to this card. And of course I had to add some glittery Stickles to all the lands in this world. That’s probably how my world would be, lol.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! This stamp set is brand new from Trinity stamps, so be sure to head over to get one for yourself before they are all gone!

Thanks for stopping by! Your Existence Makes this World Better! (and a big thanks to Dani for creating this perfect stamp…I love it). See you soon!

Using Zigs to Blend

Hello! Today I’m excited to bring to you a couple cards using beautiful florals designed by Alex Syberia. These florals are exclusive to the Hedgehog Hollow August box and they are gorgeous! I have had a few requests to show how to blend with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers….and so I’m combining the two!

Here’s a look at my cards:

Vibrant Colors from these watercolor markers!

I have a video showing you the process and how to get such vibrant colors (hint: I don’t use water at all! Only the Zigs). Watch the video below or on YouTube:

This August box will sell out fast, so if you love beautiful florals that are so very fun to color, go check out this box soon!

Ink blended background

I gold heat embossed the images first, then colored with the Zigs. For this first card, I ink blended a background using Distress Inks and makeup brushes. I love this look. I used the Zigs on the flowers and fussy cut them out. Then I popped them up using foam tape.

Three colors of green, Three colors of pink

Now I know sometimes the ink blending on the background either takes too long, or maybe you don’t enjoy ink blending. This beautiful flower looks great on a patterned paper background, too!

I’m often asked about the supplies I use to make my cards, so I’ve compiled a list for you here, using affiliate links when possible. When you purchase using these links, I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with my blog costs and continue to bring you fun projects. Thank you so very much!

I really hope you love these cards as much as I do. Sometimes a photograph just doesn’t do a card justice, and I think that might be the case with these! I love just how much they POP in real life! Thank you for stopping by.

Count Your Blessings

Hi Friends! You know, it’s International Women’s Day today (who knew?) and I wanted to put together a card for all my crafty friends. (I’m not sure how many crafty male friends I have out there…but maybe there’s another day I can dedicate a card to you, too *wink.)

Affiliate links are used when possible. When you click on an affiliate link in this post and purchase a product I may receive a small commission. Those really help in keeping up my blog and bringing you new projects! Thank you so very much for your support.

Do you know, when I count my blessings I count you TWICE! So I put together a card for you using some of my favorite products.

Counting my blessings….

Isn’t she sweet? She’s from this Waffle Flower set called “Always”. I love the matching dies for this one, it makes it so easy to make a floral swag or wreath on your card. And that sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp “you got this” set. I love them paired together.

I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers on this one and I think it turned out so dreamy and fun. This image is definitely one of my favorites to color!

I popped up the sentiment AND the top set of leaves on foam tape for some fun dimension. Then I inked around the edges with Distress Oxide ink in Weathered Wood and Wilted Violet to create a dreamy look.

Isn’t she just the cutest? I hope you enjoyed this quick share with you today. Thanks for stopping by! And always, I love your comments and thumbs up!

Merry Making Class Day 5

Today I was inspired to try my hand at a holiday watercolor card. Debby Hughes is the master at watercoloring a scene, and she made a glorious card to show us her technique. Here, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor my scene.

I adore this Stamping Bella image…so cute! That carrot is just waiting to be put on the snowman as a nose! Well, that wraps up the class projects this time around. I will take more time to finish up a few more projects I really wanted to try…soon!  I really enjoyed this class and can recommend any of these classes they offer. Enjoy!
