Snowflakes are Unique

Hello! Today I have a snowflake card to share using the December Hedgehog Hollow Kit. I loved putting this card together!

I used two of the stencils in the kit and inked them on using Blue Raspberry and Welsh Dragon inks. Then I heat embossed some snowflakes with silver embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment from the kit and VOILA! I’m done! This was a simple card, but oh-so-fun to make. I understand this kit is already sold out…so sorry about that! These kits sell out fast!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a very Happy New Year!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello! Today I have a one-layer card to share…which is rare for me! But this Hedgehog Hollow December Kit has really inspired me to create a “patterned paper” background!

It’s a simple card, but I do love how it turned out! I took the square frame stamp and stamped it in British Racing Green ink (a favorite)! Then I stamped the berries in Telephone Box ink.

I heat embossed the sentiment in the middle with my NEW FAVORITE embossing powder (Rainbow Sparkler), which has some fun glittery sparkles in it.

For extra sparkle, I added some glue to the berries and sprinkled it with red glitter. I allowed that to completely dry before attaching the whole panel to some green cardstock.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! Happy Holidays!

I have prepared a short video sharing what is included in the kit, and a card! Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

Isn’t that snowman so happy!? I love him.

Rainbow Sparkler embossing powder

Today I only used the stamps from the kit, but there are also many awesome stencils that I can’t wait to use!

4 Ways to add Shine to your cards

Hello! I have a quick card share today using products from the Hedgehog Hollow October Kit. When you create a simple card, there are some easy ways to add an extra “WOW” and I’m sharing 4 ways today!

4 Ways to add WOW

  1. Specialty Paper – for this card I chose some navy PEARLIZED paper, it has a pearly shine and really gives a magical feeling to the card. If you are a Hedgehog Hollow subscriber, you might recognize this paper from last month’s kit.
  2. Glitter Embossing Powder – when you stamp with clear ink, you can add any embossing powder. For this card, I used an iridescent glittery embossing powder that furthers the WOW factor.
  3. Vellum Elements – Vellum is a subtle yet powerful way to add some elements for a great look. Here I die cut some snowflakes out of vellum. Make sure to adhere the vellum so your adhesive can be hidden! (Watch my video for more on this).
  4. Gemstones – gemstones are another way to add shine to your card. Here I used iridescent gems to the center of the vellum snowflakes. Not only does this add more shine, but it also hides the adhesive on the vellum!

For all the details, watch the short video below or in HD on YouTube:

Sweater Weather

Hello! Well, it was almost sweater weather here in Arizona, and then….it warmed right up again! Lol. But I was inspired to make a few cards when I was still wearing a sweater! So I’m going to share them with you today.

This first one features a sweater embossing folder that I love! I first inked up the background with my favorite domed ink blending tools. After it was dry, I ran it through the embossing folder and then splattered on some white paint for a bit of a snowflake effect.

Glitter embossing on the sentiment

I love a silver glitter snowflake, so I added some of those, too! I stamped the sentiment onto the tag, added some yarn and that’s the card. Does it look cold to you…as in cold weather?

I also used some glitter embossing powder on the sentiment (you can never have too much glitter, right?!) I have a video on this card, watch it below or on YouTube:

I couldn’t resist making another card with this fun sentiment. And, after all I had this cute sweater die that was begging to be on a card!

I had some plaid backgrounds I inked up earlier, and this cute sweater I put together earlier, too! So all I had to do was add the white embossed sentiment and this card was so quick!

I stacked 3 die cut sweaters on top of each other to get this raised sweater look. I think some Nuvo drops would be fun on that Christmas tree!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible.
