The Tigers are Loose!

Hello! Today I am excited to share a circus animal card using some awesome new dies from Heffy Doodle! The tigers are Loose, and there’s an elephant on the loose, too.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

The circus tents dies are really quite spectacular…you can create many color schemes with these. Today I chose a classic Circus set of colors: blue, red and yellow.

I put together those dies so quickly…and with two tents, it really fills up an A2 card perfectly.

The animals are from the Two by Two Zoo Animals and they look adorable colored up with some detail dots in Copic markers.

I used a very happy background stencil for that detail Layer…and some patterned paper that I inked in red for the background.

Each layer has another level of dimension. I love a card with dimension! I finished it off with some Ringmaster Sparkle Mix.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! See you next time!

Coloring an Appaloosa

Hello, today I’m excited to share a video and how I Copic colored an Appaloosa. I was so happy to see this new stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps, and I chose 3 of my favorite images to create this card today.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I loved creating this ink blended sunset background for this card. I show you just how I did it using Masking Magic paper in my video.

I used the new EIEIO placement guide stencil for lining up those alpha dies, and boy is it cool!! You have to check out their new placement guides!

Give Thanks

Hello! Today I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I have created some fun Thanksgiving (as well as holiday cards) to share.

All these cards (and signs) have one thing in common: FOIL! I’m sharing how to make all these cards using vellum or acetate AND Foil on the latest Foiling Friday at Maker Forte.

Watch the video below:

I LOVED creating these cards, including shaker cards using a full sheet of acetate! That penguin card might be my favorite…but I did make many mistakes on that card. I share HOW to fix them and create a fun look.

It’s All About the Details

Hello! Today I am excited to share a video about adding fun details to a card. I first colored up my image on bristol paper using Zigs, then I added a bunch of extra details. This detail work is fun and EASY, and it adds quite a bit of interest to an otherwise fairly simple card.

I love this butterfly image…and those sentiments are ALL really good, too. Perfect for a time like this!

See all that fun detail work?! I love it. Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I used four kinds of detail-adding elements: a white gel pen, a Copic multi-liner, Nuvo Jewel drops (translucent), and Zig marker. These are all great ways to add DOTS to your cards. Be sure to watch the video for the details.

Adding this kind of detail is something to try at home and see what you like! I can’t wait to see what you create.

Want to know a secret? That background was not going to be a stormy background. It was going to be a bright, watercolored background. But it morphed into this stormy background, with that angel butterfly staying calm amidst it all! We can all learn from this bright butterfly.

I hope you enjoyed this project today! See you real soon with another card to share.

Peacock cards using Paper Strips

Hello again! Today I have some peacock cards to share, using the stamps from The Hedgehog Hollow September Kit.

I gathered together some cardstock in various colors (inspired by a peacock) and cut them into strips for these easy-to-make cards.

Beautiful peacocks

I sometimes love a card that has no coloring…and this first card is just that! The colorful paper does the coloring “for you.” I heat embossed the peacock in gold over those strips of paper for an easy card.

The second card needed a bit more glitter! Lol. So I cut those strips from glitter cardstock for this one.

I have a quick video to show you the process for these cards, watch it below or on YouTube:

These cards were fun to put together and also just a little different. I hope it inspired you to try this technique on your cards!

I love these peacocks, and they are fun to use on a card. I will be back soon with more inspiration!

Dream…
