Stained Glass Cards

Hello! Today I have some Stained Glass Cards and a video to share! I have two different ways to create a stained glass look…and I love them both.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

The first card I made has a light up feature and a vellum “stained glass” window. I love the silver leading on this one, which matches the silver frame of this card.

I used the remainder of the silver cardstock to create the following card:

What?! You don’t see the silver? That’s because I treated it with some Distress Paint in Black Soot. I love how the effect turned out. See it even better in the video!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed the Stained Glass video and cards today. I’ll be back with more cards to share soon!

Spotted Orchids

Hello! Today I’m excited to share a new card and video coloring up some Spotted Orchids. These are among my favorite flowers to color up, and I have a video with my process using new products from Crafty Meraki!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I paired this with a foiled background using the Floral Filigree Effortless Shimmer paper and an orchid colored foil. So pretty in the light!

A little Bird-day card

Hello! Today I have a little Bird-day card to share, with a video too! I love the bright and vibrant card with a bright and happy parrot…and I hope you love it, too.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I just adore these parrots from Heffy Doodle! So when I created a nice layered focal point with the Deckled Paper Hugs die set, I knew the focal image would be this happy parrot.

I cut the Decked Paper Hugs dies with cardstock that matched my colored parrot (which I colored up with alcohol markers). I added some dots on the parrot for interest, but also to help the transition of the colors.

For the background, I stenciled on the Vertical Vines stencil with some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Then I popped up the parrot and perch with some foam adhesive.

I finished off the card by layering up all the cut cardstock, then added some sequins and gems to the front. I sure love the Sparkle Mixes from Heffy Doodle!

I hope you enjoyed this card today! It sure is a happy, bright card! See you soon with more cards.

Earth Day: You Mean the World

Hello! Today I’m so excited to share a new card and video featuring the Bunny & Bear: The World stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps. You know I love the Bunny & Bear collection, and this stamp is so sweet! It’s perfect for the upcoming Earth Day on April 22nd.

I have to say, I was impressed with the Distress Watercolor pencils, they feel substantial in my hand and they are so creamy and easy to blend. I share some of my tips for using them in the video.

I used a favorite shortcut for the background watercolor design: patterned paper! Lol. I had this particular paper in my stash and it was begging to be used on this project. I do love how it turned out.

I hope you love this sweet card as much as I do! I’ll be back with more cards to share soon. Happy Earth Day!

Rainbow Reverie Pixie Perfect

Hello! Today I have some new patterned paper to share from Crafty Meraki. I combined the new Rainbow Reverie with the Pixie Perfect stamp set and I thinks it’s a great match! What do you think?

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love the variety of papers in the NEW Rainbow Reverie patterned paper. This paper pad is large… measuring 8.5″ x 6.” So when you cut it down to be an A2 size, you have an extra strip of paper! I used that extra strip for the sentiment!

I cut the rainbows & clouds with a circle die to become the focal point of the card. The cute pixie is from the Pixie Perfect stamp set and coordinating dies. I did die cute multiples of this image, so I could build it up to become a nice dimensional element on the card.

I finished it off with some beautiful opal pearls!
