Lacy Bee Wings!

Oh, honey. Today I have a really fun glittery project to share! I’m going to share with you how to make glitter wings that look just like LACE. Eep! These are so much fun to make and so pretty on a bee. (I imagine they would be just as beautiful on a butterfly or a fairy, too!)

First, let me show you my cards. Please notice those lacy glittery wings!

Those lacy wings have me all glittery-eyed!

I’m going to show you just how to get these two-toned glittery wings. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I hope you are inspired to try this technique yourself. I also made a tall card using two of those bees with their two-toned wings.

I hope you enjoyed this project today. I’m also up on The Hedgehog Hollow blog sharing all the information! Check it out and get more information on the HH Subscription boxes here.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Be Happy!

Watercolored Owl and Wolf

Hello everyone! I shared the new January Hedgehog Hollow kit with the geometric goodies, and today I have some cards using the OWL and WOLF to share.

I watercolored these up using Zig Clean Color Real brush markers using my favorite trick! Embossing powder! Yep…it keeps the colors in the lines!

Watch my video below or on YouTube:

I’m loving these geometric animals. There’s also a butterfly, a lion, and a unicorn. Oh just wait to see what else I have planned for cards coming soon!

I created the backgrounds of each of these cards using the geometric designs from the same kit.

This square geometric design is probably my favorite. I just stamped it repeatedly to create that background using Distress Oxide Ink!

For the wolf card background, I used another geometric shape and white heat embossed it onto grey cardstock. I think it looks cool with this wolf!

To finish off these cards, I popped the images up using double layer of foam tape. These turned out so cool, don’t you think? And they look a bit masculine…which is not easy for me to create!

Love them and I hope this inspired you to try some geometric watercoloring yourself.

Happy New Year, Foxy!

Hello again! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to focus on a few more New Years cards for me…how about you?

Today I’m over on the Hedgehog Hollow blog sharing this fun Faux Shaker card! I used products from the Hedgehog Hollow December box, and added a couple foxes from the Pretty Pink Posh Woodland Critters set.

I used embossable plastic for the sentiment because I wanted to see through to the beautiful iridescent fireworks!

Say Hello to the December Kit!

You might already know how much I love my kits from The Hedgehog Hollow…and today I have the December unveiling for you AND a project using items from the kit!

If you haven’t already heard, this month is filled with beautiful products from Pretty Pink Posh! There’s also an exclusive stencil from the Hedgehog Hollow.

Here’s the unveiling video, watch it below or on YouTube:

My first project with this kit uses that exclusive stencil, and I show you how to color your own Glimmer paste! Did you know you can make the clear glitter paste into any color you want? Be sure to watch the video below to see how it’s done.

That glitter paste is just so fun! I hope you can tell that I die cut the Happy New Year sentiment from silver mirror cardstock. Oh how I love that mirror cardstock!

Here’s a close up for you:

Gingerbread Hot Chocolate

Did you know you can add gingerbread flavoring to your Hot Chocolate at Starbucks? I saw this the other day and I thought…well, that sounds interesting! I haven’t tried it yet, but these cards today are inspired by that idea.

Do you prefer whipped cream in your hot chocolate?

Or do you prefer marshmallows?

I used products from the November Hedgehog Hollow box to make these cards. But I cut the coffee cups from my Silhouette! The cute background paper is from the Limited Edition Christmas Box.
