Hello again! I’m starting off May with some craft room organization using some products with the May 2020 Hedgehog Hollow kit. Today it’s an ink swatch book and I have lots of ideas for you!
These colors have me feeling HAPPY! I used the smaller stars stamp from the stamp set included in the May 2020 Kit for the Distress Oxides. For the Distress Inks, I used the STENCIL to ink the colors on (since I normally don’t stamp with Distress Inks…I use them for techniques and stencils).
I have a video with some tools and tips for you, watch it below or in HD on YouTube:
I love some good organization! I have to give a standing ovation to Jennifer McGuire for putting together all these 2×2 ink charts with LOTS of inks. She even includes a blank one so you can fill in your own inks, too!
I got the 3 colors charts from Ranger and Scrapbook.com and if you are interested you can find them here:
I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!
I hope you enjoyed this today! I am so happy seeing all these colors together.
So have you done ink swatching in your craft room? I’ll be back real soon with more organizing ideas!
Hello! Today I’m excited to be a part of the Spread Joy, Not Germs Hop. There are lots of prizes, so be sure to enter (see details below). I am using stamps from the Hedgehog Hollow April 2020 Kit and March 2020 Kit.
When I was creating this card, I was inspired by the events going on today. I created a dark gray city with bright, happy people. See, even with this big challenge, we can be happy and stick together. 🙂
I first stamped the people images with copic-friendly ink. Then I masked them off with masking paper before inking on the gray buildings using a stencil and Distress Oxide ink.
I colored the images in bright colors so they really stood out from the background. The large “always” sentiment is from the March 2020 Hedgehog Hollow Kit (lettered by Jessica Francisco). I white heat embossed it on black paper then fussy cut around the sentiment.
I stamped the “you” and “me” with black ink, then made a blue mat around them with the same blue Copic marker as on the sweater.
For the video tutorial on how this card came together, watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:
If you are interested in the colors I used, here is my Copic Color Chart:

I love a little embellishment….on a card. So when I saw the sentiment “Crafters don’t lie, they embellish” I couldn’t stop laughing. And laughter is a great medicine! So today I have a card using plenty of embellishment.
I love the look of sequins on a card…these ones are extra sparkly! To start, I first stamped on one ink bottle, masked it off and stamped another ink bottle behind it. I stamped and masked off both the sentiment and the fountain pen, as well.
The background was inked over a die cut panel (I used the Altenew cover plate to cut out a panel, then inked over it). And I taped of the “table” to ink that on with Distress Oxide in Gray.
Then I colored all the images and added PLENTY of sequins. Lol. This was fun to do using my new embellishment wand! 🙂
For the fountain pen, I stamped it again onto some wood-grained paper from my stash, then fussy cut it. I added it to the card using foam adhesive.
If I didn’t mention it before, all the stamps are from the March 2020 Hedgehog Hollow Kit. It’s a fun crafty kit this month!

Hello! Today I am masking the moon on this card to create a cloudy background behind that moon. This is going to make a beautiful baby shower card, but it can be used for any occasion, really, when you want to tell someone how much they mean to you.
It is such a sweet little card, and fairly easy to put together to. I have a video to share just how to accomplish this. Watch it below or on YouTube:
I started with a card panel of Neenah Solar white 80# cardstock, and stamped the moon image with my Mini Misti. Then I created a mask with masking paper and placed that over the large stamped moon.
I used my favorite domed blending tool to add the clouds, inking it on lightly with the cloud stencil.
Then I stamped the sentiment with my favorite black ink. I removed the mask from the moon and colored it with Copic markers.
I used the star stencil included in the Hedgehog Hollow January 2020 kit to make those gold stars using Glacier Paste. This kit is so versatile, I am loving creating with it so far!
I added the details with Nuvo Jewel drops over some of the design in the moon. This created a fun raised look to the moon decor! Those little owls are the cutest, aren’t they? I attached them with 2 layers of foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed this card today!

I’ll be back soon with more brand-new card making videos!
Hello! Today I have a Snow Globe card to share, created with basic shape dies. This cute snowman stamp is from the Hedgehog Hollow November Kit and it’s perfect for this holiday card!
I used nesting Circle dies for the Snow Globe frame, and a rectangle die to create the Snow Globe and base. The background of the Snow Globe is cut with a circle die to fit right inside.
I show you just how to create this Snow Globe and put the entire card together below, or watch it on YouTube:
I added the “snow” with Metallix White Pearl gel. Then for finishing touches, I added Black Nuvo drops to his eyes, mouth, and coal buttons. A little glitter pen on his scarf and antlers give a little extra sparkle!
The background paper is some I had in my Christmas stash, and I thought it was perfect for this snowman card. You can use any holiday paper you have, or create your own inked background.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this Snow Globe project today. See you next time!
