Hello Bestie with 2 Step Stencil

Hello! Today I’m excited to bring you a card using a 2 step stencil and a beautiful hand lettered stamp from the February 2020 Hedgehog Hollow Kit. This stencil is so fun to use and today I have a short video for you showing you how to use it!

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

If you want to see all the details in a write up, visit the Hedgehog Hollow blog for the instruction.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I sure loved creating this card. See you soon with more card making inspiration!

Sometimes Things are Falling into Place

Hello! Today I have a card that is very much perfect for the year I’ve had. I created this card all around the most beautiful sentiment that says: “Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.”

Wow. What a great way to look at things. Here is the card I created with this sentiment.

I love this sentiment so much. Some of you know, but not many, that I was experiencing lots of pain in my hands and my neck that started last year. And this year, after many tests, x-rays, MRI, and doctors visits I was told by 2 different doctors that I had a life-threatening condition in my neck. It was caused by a chiropractor who cracked my neck in a way that my neck did not like!

I am now in physical therapy and other therapies to help alleviate the pain and get my neck back into the correct position. However, it takes time and there is no quick fix.

I did not mean to make this post about my physical challenges, but this sentiment sure makes me think about what this situation could really mean for my life.

Falling into place….

I love this sentiment together with this stencil. I have a video on using this stencil and how it all came together. Watch it below or on YouTube:

I am grateful for the time I have to craft (even when it’s painful) and for the time I have to learn. I love how creating cards can be so healing and happy for me.

I have put together a list of the products I used on this card, in case you are interested. I use affiliate links when I can, and when you purchase using these links I may receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you). These little bits help me to keep bringing you projects and videos; and they also help to pay for my physical therapy costs. So I THANK YOU very very much if you use any of my links. <3

Thanks for stopping by!

Metallix Gel to add Shine

Hello! Today I’m excited to bring you a variety of cards using Metallix Gel in five colors. I got these a while ago and finally found the perfect time to use them…as a part of my AECP Certification. I was inspired by Carissa Wiley in her “Let It Shine” class.

This Metallix Gel is the perfect product to shine on your cards! I tested out the colors on both black and white cardstock to see the differences the backgrounds make on the colors.

I combined these beautiful backgrounds with one of my new favorite Altenew Layering flowers to make some colorful cards! This first card is perfect for this time of year. I used the Mega Blessed die and heat embossed it multiple times in gold to get a metallic embellishment!

This was also a first time using some Altenew inks and I fell in LOVE!!

Look at those vibrant ink colors! (Love)

I really enjoyed making all these backgrounds and putting the cards together, and I made a video to show you some tricks I learned along the way. Watch it below, or on YouTube:

This Layering Flower set is just wow!

Did I mention I took lots of pictures? Lol. The next card I used the Uppercase Alphabet dies to cut out some PEARLIZED paper for the sentiment. The pearl paper looks so cool with the black on black…check out the close up picture below to see it a little better.

Here’s all four cards I put together…they all shine in their own way. For the orange flowers I used Distress Oxides and I have to say, for this project I loved the vibrant inks from Altenew. I need to get myself some more of their inks!

A big thank you for stopping by today! I am excited to announce that this is my last course in Level 1 for AECP. I have my final exam and then on to Level 2!! Yay!

Witches Brew Cards

Hello! What IS in a witch’s brew anyway? Lol. Today I have a couple Halloween cards using a favorite sentiment of mine: “Best Witches.”

Best Witches!

This is a fun card to make! I have a video showing you how, watch it below or on YouTube:

The second card uses much of the same products, with a little more of a twist.

For this one, I inked the background with the domed blending tools and some distress oxides in greens & blues. Then I added some water to create that oxide look. I cut some clouds to represent the witches brew, then popped up the witch legs behind the brew. I added some clear droplets, bats and stickles.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you liked these fun Halloween cards. This is about as spooky as it gets around here, folks! Lol. Thanks for stopping by.

Quick Halloween Cards

Hello! Sometimes I need a quick card, so today I’m showing you some easy Halloween cards with only minimal supplies! I’m using the same Fall Sampler stamp set to make two very different Halloween Cards.

Here’s the first one:

Eat Drink and Be Scary

I love this stamp set, there are so many sentiments perfect for Fall, Thanksgiving, Halloween, AND Winter. I love a stamp set with lots of uses…it is great on the budget, too! 🙂

Best Witches!

Here’s a video to show you the process and how quick it is, watch it below or on YouTube:

These cards are so fun, and there’s no coloring involved (which is sometimes a plus when you are in a hurry)!
