Light up Ghost card

Hello! Today I have a light up ghost card for you with a video! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

Today I’m using specialty paper from Your Paper Insider, but you could also use vellum or any specialty papers you want to try with lights! Please watch the video to see how this came together.

I die cut the ghost on a 5×7 panel of light pink cardstock, added the specialty paper to the back, lined up the One Light from Pear Blossom Press and marked the panel with a light pencil mark to see where I needed to put that “press” stamp. Once I had the placement, I stamped the “Press” with black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Next, I added some delightful details, like the witches hat, bats, heart and hey boo sentiment cut out of glitter paper.

I love how the heart lights up and the heart diffuses the light a little more. I keep singing “Turn on Your Heart Light” (Neil Diamond fans, anyone?) Ha ha. That was a favorite of my Dad’s, but now it’s stuck in my head.

I just love the extra texture from the specialty paper. If you are interested in a subscription box where you get surprise papers from all around the world, check out Your Paper Insider (I’ve linked them below). I am not an affiliate for them, but I did love the box I got and wanted to share!

For my bonus card of course I wanted to use the pink ghost I cut out from the first card! here I put her together with a broom and pink skull & bones, and a little candy corn shape sprinkle from Doodlebug!

I used a candy corn background for this also, which I stenciled on to a black cardstock panel using oxide inks. Doesn’t it look a little spookier that way?

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!

Light up VW Van Cards

Hello! Today I’m sharing three Light Up Van cards. These are so fun to create and the light up headlights really take this card to the next level!

I created these cards with both EZ Lights and Twinkle Lights in my cards today, both of which have THREE lights in each set. However, today I only needed two lights for the headlights on these vans, and I show you how to do this in my video!

Watch the video here:

These van die cuts are a SOLID die cut and they do not have a way to let the light through. But I have a simple trick for you to alter this in an easy way to be able to add the lights! (Watch the video to find out!)

I actually added Twinkle Lights to this card, but I was lucky to be able to capture both lights on at the same time for this picture! They actually take turns lighting up and turn on and off when you press the button. It reminded me of taking a little beach break and having your flashing lights on! (Lol)

I really love these light up vans! You can create them in any color you’d like…today I made THREE cards: a blue van (of course), a pink van, and a yellow van! These are mostly traditional colors, but what would a PURPLE van be like? Or a Van with extra flowers and peace signs?!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I hope you enjoyed these cards today featuring the EZ Lights and Twinkle Lights from Pear Blossom Press. They are my favorite way to light up a card! Happy Crafting!

Light Up Toucan Card

Hello! Today I have a fun Light Up Toucan Card to share, with a foiled background. This is a fun card and the light just dances off that foil.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I started out with the NEW ESP (Effortless Shimmer Paper) from Crafty Meraki. This paper is beautiful…and you can use this paper as is OR you can foil it to add some pretty color and shine.

For this background, I used the Cupid’s Canvas Effortless Shimmer Paper and foiled it with some pretty pink foil. When I added the light, it really makes things sing!

I hope you will take a look at the video to see how to add the light EASILY!

Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back soon with more cards to share.

Light Up Lantern (Mailable!)

Hello! Welcome to the Collab Hop with Scrappy Tails Crafts and Pear Blossom Press! Get ready for lots of inspiration, and be sure to comment as you hop along, for your chance to win a $25 store credit!

Today I’m excited to share a Light Up Lantern card that is completely mailable! This is a genius die set and I really couldn’t stop creating. I have FOUR projects to share with you today.

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I was inspired by a lantern I have in my home (see that big one in the back?) and so I started out with a cream colored Mini Lantern with black accents. This is the one I share how to add EZ Lights to, so it becomes easy to fold and is completely mailable! You do need a larger envelope to mail it, however: it is so cool and so unique.

EZ Lights on those candles!

Next, I created a BLUE JAY lantern using the Birch Die add on panels and the Cardinal Layering Die set. Yes, I turned the Cardinals into BLUE JAYS! I love this die set so much, and look how you can change up the colors to create an entirely new bird!

You have to check out the video to see how beautiful the sides are using that Birch Tree Add-On die set! I cut the trees out of silver glitter paper and added a blue frame by simply cutting out the inside pieces of the Basic Shaped Lantern Panels. I added some vellum to the inside of each panel to diffuse the light.

The Carolers together with the Holiday Lantern Panel (Christmas Tree) might be one of my favorite combinations! I adore the layering caroler dies…there’s even a caroling DOG in this set! LOL.

For this red lantern, I used the new Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spray Stain for the lantern itself. I cut a striped paper for the topper (hello, candy cane!). The leaves are gorgeous sprayed with Mica Spray Stains in a variety of greens. I loved adding the Red Pearl embellishments. This would also look so pretty with a Cardinal!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. Watch the video for all the details! I hope you enjoyed these projects today. I cannot wait to create centerpieces with these…and also a Slimline card! I still have yet to use the reindeer panel and also build a cardinal. Check out the rest of the beautiful designs that are available for these lanterns, too!

CCD x PBP COLLAB HOP with CC DESIGNS and PEAR BLOSSOM PRESS

*This is my second blog post today….scroll down to my next post to see my cards with Maker Forte Under the Seashore products!

Welcome to the CCD x PBP Collab Hop, a collaboration between Pear Blossom Press and CC Designs! Our designers are sharing the CCoolest light-up cards today, all featuring stamps from CC Designs and lights from Pear Blossom Press. Be sure to hop along and comment as you go, for your chance to win a $25 gift voucher! Ready to be inspired? Let me show you my cards…

I couldn’t help but make TWO cards, using a couple stamp sets and the same CC Designs die! (see VIDEO below the card photos)

CARD 1: May the Force Be With You

For this card I used the most adorable stamp set from CC Designs and combined it with the filmstrip die.

I created a simple galaxy background for this MINI SLIMLINE card. That filmstrip die is perfect for a slimline card! Then I colored some vellum for each of the squares…and that is what I put the light behind.

Just look at how CUTE this is with the lights!! (Check out my video below to see how to make this!)

CARD 2: Fairy Hello

For this next card I absolutely used the SAME DIE as the card above! Can you believe it?! One thing I LOVED about this filmstrip die is that they included tons of small images like the mushrooms, flowers, and grass! The “HI” sentiment is also from that die!

How cute are these fairies?! I couldn’t stop smiling as I was making this card, they are that adorable!

Now for the LIGHTS!! Look at how awesome the halo light kit is! I cut a circle out of the panel that was just a little smaller than the circle of lights.

Now, this photo might be a little awkward because I’m right handed, but how do you hold a camera, press the lights, AND take a photo with the right hand?! Lol. Let me try it again…

This photo is better…I shot it using my LEFT HAND, which is no easy task!

I have a VIDEO with all the details of how to put these together with those brilliant Pear Blossom Press lights! Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:
