Diorama Cards make Sweet Scenes

Hello again! I’m back with a few more Diorama cards. I love that you can make sweet little scenes with these dies. Here I’ve created a little snowy neighborhood with visiting deer!

These dioramas have the option to have multiple layers inside your frame. I have 2 different layers here and in real life it’s so dreamy. I love adding a little Star Dust Stickles to the icicles, it adds just the right amount of glitter!

My next Diorama features my all-time favorite nativity set:

The angel and the star are cut from silver foil paper. I heat embossed the sentiment in the back with silver embossing powder.

To make the nativity characters a little sturdier, I die cut and backed them with chipboard.

There are so many options you can choose with papers and additions for these Diorama cards. I added the red & white washi tape to the front layer for a pop of color. All other products are from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I wish you could see the multiple layers…these photographs don’t do these sweet little scenes justice!

To see just how easy it is to put together these Dioramas, watch my video here or on YouTube:

Here are a few more diorama cards I’ve created. Can you tell I just LOVE these Diorama with Layers dies?!

A Look back at the October Release with Our Daily Bread Designs

Hello! I hope you’ve had a chance to see the entire October Release from Our Daily Bread Designs, because it is fabulous! Today I’m sharing two cards using some of the products.

First I had to create a card front using the beautiful Bethlehem dies set.

I used the Pierced Ovals dies to create the frame and inked it up slightly with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I heat embossed the back layer of the building tops with copper embossing powder before adding them to the kraft background. The trees are colored with copics. Isn’t this a beautiful scene?

To finish it all off, I added the Merry Christmas Caps die at the top.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card, where I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Card Scriptures Stamp set:

This sentiment is such a beautiful way to say Merry Christmas!

My next project features the Diorama with Layers set. This is another new favorite of mine and this time I’ve paired the Brick Gate Border with the Neighborhood Border die.

Look at that sweet little neighborhood! I’ve added some chunky glitter to the rooftops to add a snowy feeling. The paper is from this set. The Pinecones Dies and Pine Branches Dies are must-haves, in my opinion!

The Brick Gate Border offers a way to ink up those bricks through the die when you leave it on the die cut piece! (That’s how I got all those individual grey bricks).

I hope you enjoyed these projects today and got inspired.

Cityscape Cards Two Ways

Hello! Today I am excited to share with you some Cityscape Christmas cards…One is a diorama 3D card and one is an A2 size folding card. Here’s the Diorama card:

sunshine-noel-cityscape-diorama

This is a 3D card that will fold flat to fit into an A6 envelope for mailing!

How festive do those skyscrapers look all lit up in green and red?! I love that. I used glitter paper to place behind the die to get that sparkly holiday lights look.

This new Diorama Die is a new favorite of mine. It is so easy to use and to layer with Christmas paper. I added some Alphabet Flags (from a previous release) to spell “Noel” and used that same sparkle paper behind those letters. To finish off this card, I added some glitter to the Pine Branches and topped it with a big, red bow (from this set)!

I love that you can also use these same dies to make an A2 size card:

Here I used the same City Skyline dies over an ink blended background. That beautiful sentiment is from the Christmas Card Verses stamp set. I created a frame with the Pierced Rectangles dies, and finished it all off with sparkly Pine Branches and a Pinecone from this set.

If you haven’t already seen the entire October release, head over to Our Daily Bread Designs to take a look. It’s a fantastic release and I love how versatile the dies are to use for a Diorama Card OR for a folded card.

Thanks for stopping by!

October New Release from Our Daily Bread Designs

Hello! I’m so excited to show you some of the October new release products from Our Daily Bread Designs! This month brings some fun Christmas themed products and a fantastic Diorama Die! Have you ever made a Diorama card? They are so much fun to build scenes with lots of dimensional layers.

Here are are few of the Diorama Cards I made:

I used these new products on this diorama card: Diorama with Layers, Neighborhood border die, Icicle border die. And this is kind of like a box card, where you can fold it down to fit into an A6 size envelope for mailing! So cool!

sunshine-o-little-town-2

This card uses the Diorama Card and Bethlehem dies (the Bethlehem dies include the buildings and the palm trees! I love those palm trees). I used Distress Oxide ink to add color to the very back of the diorama, and I used paper from this pack to add to the front.

I love that the Diorama with Layers die includes an option to cut an OVAL front OR a SQUARE front! Did you notice that the fronts on each of these two cards was a different shaped opening?! What a brilliant design for this die.

And here are the Three Wisemen with the Bethlehem border in the background. These wisemen are so beautifully detailed. The star is from a previous release called Holy Night die.

But these products can also be used to create a regular card:

Here I colored up those Wisemen with Copic markers and added an inked background with a sentiment from the Christmas Verses set. Here’s a close up of those wisemen with their wonderful robes:

Such a fun release! There are a lot more products in this release…so don’t stop here!

Drum Lever Card

Hello there! I have another fun Lever Card using the drum stamp from this stamp set.

I love this Lever Card and the Lever Card Layers, which allows you to easily cut patterned paper to make layers on your card.
