Learn to Jump

This sweet card is a one-layer card filled with sheep at sunset. (Sheep at sunset? That sounds delightful)

The “adult sheep” is teaching the “kid sheep” how to be fabulous by jumping. Lol. I had a great time with this card, masking and inking. I hope you like it!

I used distress inks for the background colors, and prismacolor pencils for the sheep. I also added some white gel pen to add a sort of “swoosh” to show the movement of the jumping sheep.

I think the little ones could jump over that fence too, don’t you? Lol.

Enjoy!

Just Hanging Around

I got an opportunity to watercolor the other day. This monkey set from My Favorite Things is perfect for practicing. I pulled out my watercolors (including Tim Holtz Distress markers that I used as watercolor) and got to work.

So Blessed

I’m using a darling stamp set by My Favorite Things called ‘Best Friends.’ I was inspired to create this card from the current MFT Color Challenge here.

I paper pieced the dress, adding extra glitter and foam tape to the bottom of the dress (to make it more frilly!)

I also paper pieced the dog’s sweater so it matched the dress of the girl. This is a fabulous relationship they have, can’t you tell? Lol. Best friends.

Here’s a close up of her glittery dress and bow:

It’s difficult to capture the dimension of this card! She’s a cutie.
Thanks for visiting!

i-like-you-more-than-bananas

I like you more than I like bananas

Today I saw this little monkey on my desk and I knew he needed to be made into a card.

i-like-you-more-than-bananas

A shaker card with lots of bananas! I heat embossed the bananas on some watercolor cardstock. Then I watercolored with Akayashi Sai watercolor markers and used the MFT Cheeky Monkey stamp set. Finished it off with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I think my granddaughter will love that little monkey.

Monochromatic Chameleon

Today I’m participating in the MFT Camp Create: Monochromatic Magic.

I’ve been waiting for just the right card for this adorable chameleon, and it all came together for this challenge. See how the chameleon just blends in with his surroundings? So cute.

So it turns out that I have a bit of turquoise/teal colored items: paper, Stickles, watercolor markers, glitter tape, and distress ink. 🙂

This is my first time participating in MFT Camp Create! Hope I can keep up. Enjoy!
