Subtle Textured Sunset with Highland Cows

Hello! Today I have a new card and video to share featuring a subtle textured sunset with the cutest Highland Cows! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I loved creating this card with the newer Postage Seal & Stamp Collection die set from Miss Ink Stamps….the largest postage die cuts both the frame AND the inner panel! This makes an easy panel for ink blending that sunset.

Distress Oxide inks are perfect for a sunset blend….they are beautiful, dreamy colors that blend so easily into each other. I share my tips for blending in the video.

Once the blending was completed and dried, I used some Versamark ink through a stencil and added some Distress Embossing Glaze. This creates the subtle texture with just a little shine for that background!

I love adding some interest…and that PostMarks set is great in a light grey for an additional touch. I used the same grey to ink blend that postage border to make it stand out from the background.

I ended up using allll the Highland Cows and some blue birds for this card…aren’t they the cutest?

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. Fortune Teller (of cardmaking!)

Hello! Today I am sharing a card with the Fortune Teller of Cardmaking and here’s what she predicts: “I see stamps in your future.” Well, I’d say she’s pretty accurate! Lol. I loved making this card, watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I am recently obsessed with making mystical, magical backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks and today that’s exactly how I started this card. Then of course, I added gold stars and Opal foil using stencils! The Window to the World arch stencil is so awesome because it comes with 2 layers and 2 masks…that means there are lots of techniques you can achieve!

I used two stencils to get that opal foil look in the center of the arch. I hope you will watch the video to see how I created this. It’s a very fun technique…with beautiful results.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’ll see you soon with more cards to share,

Incendio! Blue Flames Birthday Card

Hello! Today I have a Blue Flames Birthday Card…Incendio! This is a fun one and I was inspired by science class (remember the Bunsen Burner…with a blue flame?)

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I really love working with these products from Miss Ink Stamps…there are so many sets in the Magical Collection to work with. I started with the new Flames stencil and used some inks and blue Glacier Paste (for the smallest flame layer).

I used the Perspective Floor stencil to create the floor (LOVE this stencil…there are 3 different floors to choose from on this one stencil). For the wood panels, I cut the Woodgrain Frame die and cut it apart to create the planks.

Watch the video above to see all the details for this card.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. Frame into Wonderland

Hello! Today I have a Frame into Wonderland card with the Cheshire Cat. This is a fun card to make, and it does look a little dreamy!

Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

See that frame…it’s the new Woodgrain Frame die from Miss Ink Stamps! It cuts a frame and embosses a wood grain design into the cardstock at the same time. I love this frame and I thought it would make the perfect picture frame into Wonderland!

I started watercoloring the aspen trees and die cut them out. Then I stamped the background in a soft grey ink. I colored the trees and sky with a soft Oxide ink treatment. Those footprints are from a new stencil by the same name. I love a purple footprint to mimic the colors on the Cheshire cat. (I love seeing him smiling up in the tree!)
