Gilding Flakes on Designer Postage Stamps

Hello! Today I am so happy to share a new video creating Designer Christmas Postage Stamps with Gilding Flakes accents!

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I love creating postage stamps, and these Christmas inspired stamps hold extra glitter and shine! Today I used silver Gilding Flakes, but you could use gold or any color you want! Take a close look at the inside frame of the postage stamp….that’s where I added the silver gilding flakes. So beautiful.

I used a few stencils and the Postage Seal and Shaker Collection for each of these postage stamps. I also brought in some smaller dies: like the Lots of Letters mini dies, and the SWAK postage heart dies. For the full tutorial, watch the video above.

I think you can see how much I just LOVE putting these together. I can’t wait to create more!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these designer Christmas postage stamps today! Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Blend Designer Postage Stamps

Hello! Today I have some Designer Postage Stamps with a beautiful (and unique) Fall Blend background. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I love creating mini Postage Stamps, so today I created some and made them into mini cards. I used Distress Inks to blend the background in Antique Linen, Salvaged Patina, & Uncharted Mariner. Once I had the background inked, I put a stencil over the top and used the same colors once again. This creates a fun background for our postage stamps!

For this last postage stamp, I heat embossed some Distress Embossing Glaze over a mushroom stamp (from the Smokin’ Caterpillar stamp set). Next, I colored up some images and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I used the Post Mark stamp set to add some postage details to each one, and added them to mini cards. I hope you’ll watch the video to see the details.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Alice Shaker

Hello! Today I have an Alice Shaker card and video. This is a fun one! I used the Nested Keyholes set to start off the entire card…watch the video below or on YouTube:

I love the postage frame from the Miss Ink Stamps Postage, Seal and Shaker Collection. While there IS a full shaker panel to use in the set, I wanted to turn the postage frame portion into a shaker! So I cut that out, ink blended the inner panel (which will act as the background for the shaker), and put it all together with some acetate and foam tape. Watch the video for the full tutorial.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I hope you enjoyed this project today! I really loved making it. Shake, shake, shake! I’ll be back soon with more cards to share.

Subtle Textured Sunset with Highland Cows

Hello! Today I have a new card and video to share featuring a subtle textured sunset with the cutest Highland Cows! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I loved creating this card with the newer Postage Seal & Stamp Collection die set from Miss Ink Stamps….the largest postage die cuts both the frame AND the inner panel! This makes an easy panel for ink blending that sunset.

Distress Oxide inks are perfect for a sunset blend….they are beautiful, dreamy colors that blend so easily into each other. I share my tips for blending in the video.

Once the blending was completed and dried, I used some Versamark ink through a stencil and added some Distress Embossing Glaze. This creates the subtle texture with just a little shine for that background!

I love adding some interest…and that PostMarks set is great in a light grey for an additional touch. I used the same grey to ink blend that postage border to make it stand out from the background.

I ended up using allll the Highland Cows and some blue birds for this card…aren’t they the cutest?
