Spot Foiling Cards

Hello! Today I’m sharing some fun cards using Spot Foiling. Since it’s a new year, I thought it was time to bring Alice back for some cardmaking, too! So, I’ve combined the two and created TWO cards to share with you.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I think the Alice Collection might be my all-time favorite stamp collection in all my stamps! I hope you are not tired of seeing her yet in my creations.

Here, I masked off Alice and the tea cups before stamping that large mushroom: this makes it look like they are sitting right on top! Then I colored and fussy cut out the whole image.

I think she looks great with those foiled pink tea cups in the background!

For my second card, I used the Ins and Outs Bohemian stencil to mask off the center portion before adding the tea cups and foiling. This made a nice spot to stamp that gnome.

I just love a little red and pink ink this time of year! For both cards I used Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink as the base color….it looks beautiful with both PINK and RED foil.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today. I’ll be back soon with more cards to share!

Alice and the Caterpillar

Hello! Today I have a card that has been in my head for a while, and I finally made some time to create it. I paired the Cloud Heart stencil with the Smoking Caterpillar stamp set for a fun slimline card!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

In my video I share how this card came together, and a bit of my Copic coloring process (which has been requested!)

I also share how to add some fun texture and dimension to this card for so much interest.

I always love creating with the Alice sets from Miss Ink Stamps, and this Caterpillar set is a new one in my collection! So I was so happy to color him up.

Isn’t that fun to have the smoke in the shape of heart clouds?!

Easy Foiled Backgrounds with Toner Sheets

Hello! Today I have FOUR cards to share with you using Toner sheets to create four easy foiled backgrounds.

I recently fell in love with these toner sheets, and I have a video sharing just how to create them so EASILY with this one trick. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I started with some kraft Toner Sheets called Chic Chevrons and foiled it with the beautiful Lapis Watercolor foil (all supplies listed below). This created a great background, but I still had quite a bit of beautiful foil that hadn’t been used. So I took that LEFTOVER foil and put in on a toner sheet and ran it thru the Minc machine. BAM! Another beautiful foiled background to create a card!

That sentiment cracks me up…it’s a Simple Sentiment from Maker Forte! So many great ones in this kit that you can cut out and use on cards (or foil them up, too!) They are printed on toner sheets so they are also easily foiled!

I really couldn’t stop there! I tried some NEW TO ME Clear Toner Sheets next with flowers on them. These foil up so great! I tried the Summer Rainbow foil on them this time.

And of course I used the LEFTOVER foil from this one to create a second card!

Watch the video to see how I created all the detail on the Queen of Hearts dress, too! She wanted the roses red…and we got some of them right! But still she exclaims “Off With their Heads!” (You gotta love the Queen of Hearts).

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you loved these easy foiled backgrounds today! These were fun to create. There are prizes to be won over at the Miss Ink Stamps blog and Thermoweb blog all this week. So head on over and leave a comment for your chance to win!

I love this saying and it makes me think: I should be thinking impossible things! (or at least dreaming!)

Can you see that extra shine I added with the small stars and glitter?! This is a fun card to create and I absolutely love that stencil in the background.
