I started out with the NEW ESP (Effortless Shimmer Paper) from Crafty Meraki. This paper is beautiful…and you can use this paper as is OR you can foil it to add some pretty color and shine.
For this background, I used the Cupid’s Canvas Effortless Shimmer Paper and foiled it with some pretty pink foil. When I added the light, it really makes things sing!
I hope you will take a look at the video to see how to add the light EASILY!
I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back soon with more cards to share.
Hello! Today I have a fun light-up card…it’s an alien ship that lights up. I am a part of an Instagram hop for this project (with prizes!), so you may want to head over to Instagram and take a look!
But before that, watch the video on how to add these Chibitronics Lights to your cards! Watch it below or on YouTube:
This card is so fun…press the button and the space ship lights up in three different colors!

Hello! Today I have a Light up Jack-O-Lantern Card video to share. This is an easy way to create a Jack-o-Lantern (easier than carving it!) that lights up. I couldn’t love this interactive card any more than I already do. I hope you enjoy!
When I told my husband I wanted to color this pumpkin house PURPLE, he was skeptical. But I had a vision in my head and to make it come to life was such fun! I used some darker shades of Copic markers in purple and I just love the effect.
I used some EZ Lights again and they are so easy and fun! I think the coloring on this card took LONGER than making it light up. LOL. I share just how to do this in my video.

Welcome to the CCD x PBP Collab Hop, a collaboration between Pear Blossom Press and CC Designs! Our designers are sharing the CCoolest light-up cards today, all featuring stamps from CC Designs and lights from Pear Blossom Press. Be sure to hop along and comment as you go, for your chance to win a $25 gift voucher! Ready to be inspired? Let me show you my cards…
I couldn’t help but make TWO cards, using a couple stamp sets and the same CC Designs die! (see VIDEO below the card photos)
CARD 1: May the Force Be With You
For this card I used the most adorable stamp set from CC Designs and combined it with the filmstrip die.
I created a simple galaxy background for this MINI SLIMLINE card. That filmstrip die is perfect for a slimline card! Then I colored some vellum for each of the squares…and that is what I put the light behind.
Just look at how CUTE this is with the lights!! (Check out my video below to see how to make this!)
CARD 2: Fairy Hello
For this next card I absolutely used the SAME DIE as the card above! Can you believe it?! One thing I LOVED about this filmstrip die is that they included tons of small images like the mushrooms, flowers, and grass! The “HI” sentiment is also from that die!
How cute are these fairies?! I couldn’t stop smiling as I was making this card, they are that adorable!
Now for the LIGHTS!! Look at how awesome the halo light kit is! I cut a circle out of the panel that was just a little smaller than the circle of lights.
Now, this photo might be a little awkward because I’m right handed, but how do you hold a camera, press the lights, AND take a photo with the right hand?! Lol. Let me try it again…
I have a VIDEO with all the details of how to put these together with those brilliant Pear Blossom Press lights! Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:
