Jungle Vines Layering Stencil

Hello! Today I have a Layering Stencil TIP that has just become a new FAVORITE!! I’m using the Jungle Vines Layering stencil from Miss Ink stamps…and this is perfect for Jungle scenes or floral backdrops.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube to see my favorite Layering Stencil technique:

With this one tip, your layering stencils will become a breeze to line up and get beautiful results! I used the Jungle Vines stencil and the Tropical Trellis stencil for this card. For the images, I used Jungle Friends and Pretty Birds…all from Miss Ink Stamps.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoy this project today! I had a great time putting it all together. I have been on a short break, but I’m back and now ready to tackle more cards and videos. So I’ll be sharing more soon!

Orangutan Card

Hello! Today I’m making a scene with some new products from Miss Ink Stamps. Have you ever made an orangutan card? Yes, I did look up the spelling of orangutan to make sure that I spelled it right! Lol

I created a short video with tricks to creating this scene, watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I started by coloring the jungle ruins and the big green leaves TWICE. I colored up the first layer of leaves in only one shade of green. Then I colored up the second panel of leaves and fussy cut them out so I could LAYER them on top. This creates fun dimension to this card.

How cute are those monkeys?! I also added a second layer of the palm tree on the left. I popped up the orangutan and the sentiment, too.

For the sunset, I ink blended some Distress Oxides in three colors. Then I cut the top of the Jungle Ruins panel off to reveal that sunset!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Hope you enjoyed this card process!
