Foiling with White Foil

Hello! Today I have a set of cards and a video Foiling with White Foil. This is a fun technique and I’m using the cutest penguins from Miss Ink Stamps.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

For this first card I used DecoFoil Gel Duo through the Frosty Flakes stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. I allowed it to completely dry before foiling it with WHITE foil. Then I inked on some color….the foil resists the ink!

The next card I used some rainbow foil, and since I had a beautiful negative piece of rainbow foil that I was able to use on some toner paper. Then I used some white foil with the Double Foil Technique to make the background white again. This is such a fun technique and so easy…Watch the video to see all the details!

I couldn’t resist making those penguins dance on a table! Lol.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these cards today! See you soon with more cards!

Foiling and Angry Birds

Hello! Happy New Year! I’m back with my first video and card share of the New Year. I hope your holidays were delightful and not nearly as cold as it is for these Angry Birds cards I am sharing today.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

For these cards, I started with some Toner Card fronts from Whimsy Stamps. I used some aqua DecoFoil to foil this snowflake background…then I saved the leftover foil to make the second card background.

I think these birds are so funny (but don’t they look cold…brrr)! There is another fun image in this stamp set also, so go and check it out. I have the supplies listed below.

I hope you enjoyed the foiling and these card projects today! It’s been chilly here, but not cold enough for snow (we rarely get snow here in Arizona). How about where you are? See you soon with more cards to share!

Spot Foiling Cards

Hello! Today I’m sharing some fun cards using Spot Foiling. Since it’s a new year, I thought it was time to bring Alice back for some cardmaking, too! So, I’ve combined the two and created TWO cards to share with you.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I think the Alice Collection might be my all-time favorite stamp collection in all my stamps! I hope you are not tired of seeing her yet in my creations.

Here, I masked off Alice and the tea cups before stamping that large mushroom: this makes it look like they are sitting right on top! Then I colored and fussy cut out the whole image.

I think she looks great with those foiled pink tea cups in the background!

For my second card, I used the Ins and Outs Bohemian stencil to mask off the center portion before adding the tea cups and foiling. This made a nice spot to stamp that gnome.

I just love a little red and pink ink this time of year! For both cards I used Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink as the base color….it looks beautiful with both PINK and RED foil.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today. I’ll be back soon with more cards to share!

Give Thanks

Hello! Today I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I have created some fun Thanksgiving (as well as holiday cards) to share.

All these cards (and signs) have one thing in common: FOIL! I’m sharing how to make all these cards using vellum or acetate AND Foil on the latest Foiling Friday at Maker Forte.

Watch the video below:

I LOVED creating these cards, including shaker cards using a full sheet of acetate! That penguin card might be my favorite…but I did make many mistakes on that card. I share HOW to fix them and create a fun look.
