Let’s Boo-gie

Hello! This ghost wants to dance, so let’s Boo-gie! Today I’m sharing a fun little card with foiling and that adorable ghost from Miss Ink Stamps.

I just love the Pixel Pattern Layering stencil and I thought it would look great with a little foil, and look a bit like a disco ball! Watch the video below or on YouTube:

Oh how cute is that little ghost?! He likes to dance, and he’s a little fancy with some sparkle… In the video I show you how to use the foil through the Layering stencil, and how to add extra sparkly look.

I also share my favorite alpha die set with my trick to make the cardstock letters into stickers so they’re a cinch to place!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

So who’s ready to Boo-gie?! Thanks for stopping by!

Fortune Teller (of cardmaking!)

Hello! Today I am sharing a card with the Fortune Teller of Cardmaking and here’s what she predicts: “I see stamps in your future.” Well, I’d say she’s pretty accurate! Lol. I loved making this card, watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I am recently obsessed with making mystical, magical backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks and today that’s exactly how I started this card. Then of course, I added gold stars and Opal foil using stencils! The Window to the World arch stencil is so awesome because it comes with 2 layers and 2 masks…that means there are lots of techniques you can achieve!

I used two stencils to get that opal foil look in the center of the arch. I hope you will watch the video to see how I created this. It’s a very fun technique…with beautiful results.

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’ll see you soon with more cards to share,

Stencil Foiling

Hello! Today I have some stencil foiling…with a stencil mask and through a stencil! It’s a fun technique and I hope you’ll stop by to watch my video:

I’m using products from Miss Ink stamps. I had a couple extra flamingos already colored up from a previous project so that inspired my card today!

I started out with the foiling process, using Decofoil Gel duo through my stencil (but adding that mask first!) You really need to see my video to see what I am talking about! Lol.

Once the gel was set aside to dry, I turned my attention to the magnolia flowers. These are gorgeous and easy to put together! (which I really appreciate in a flower die cut). I colored them up with Cool Grey Copic markers to add shadows and shading.

Once the gel was dry, I added pink foil and ran it through my mini minc machine. After the foil was done, I could add some ink to that quatrefoil design using the stencil once again! I love this set…so many possibilities. There is also a frame stencil in the set, which I didn’t use this time.

This is a super fun technique and I couldn’t resist making two panels… which turned into two completed cards!

The sentiments are from the Sunshine and Rainbows stamp set, another absolute FAVORITE set, because it has so many great sentiments. I reach for this one again and again.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I always enjoy a little foiling and it’s been a while, so this was a fun one for me! Thanks for stopping by!

Foiled Background

I love a good foiled background! Today I have a tone-on-tone card to share with you using a favorite stamp set from the last Maker Forte Release.

[Note: I’m sharing all the details HERE at the Maker Forte blog if you want more detailed information on creating this card.]

Those lantern images come from the Christmas at the Cabin stamp set…this set has so many cute images to put together! I paired it with the Christmas naturally stencil to create that foiled background. (LOVE this stencil!)

Foiling an Art Journal and Card

Hello! Today I’m up on the Hedgehog Hollow Blog sharing an Art Journal and card with foiling! I loved these projects, so I hope you’ll head over and take a look.

I also have a video for you sharing just how to do these projects, with foiling and ephemera. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

These are super fun projects, and all my Art Journals have a meaning for me. Growing up I always had a parakeet, so I LOVE this ephemera parakeet and just had to incorporate that into my journal.
