Bee Happy

Hello! Today I am a part of an Instagram Hop with prizes! If you would like to go check out the hop, my IG handle is @kariavan !

Today I’m sharing a card with some products that I absolutely LOVE! The Garden Rose Craft-A-Flower is so beautiful, I start by putting the rose together and inking it up with Distress Ink. Just look at how BEAUTIFUL that rose is!

The little bee is also a favorite, and this comes in a MINI stamp and die set! To see how I put this all together, check out my reel on instagram!

I used some spray ink for the green background (which is a fun and quick way to get some color behind that Color Wheel die).

The tall alpha is so perfect inked up in two colors. Bee Happy!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! Thanks for stopping by.

5 Cards, 1 Kit with Bees and Hummingbirds

Hello, today I have special video with 5 cards & 1 kit. This kit is filled with Bees and Hummingbirds (some of my favorites!)

Watch the video below, which includes a preview of all the contents of the kit, and 5 cards (plus a bonus card)! I also share how I do some Copic Coloring and curly hair coloring.

Bee Cards

There are many ways to create the cutest bee cards with this kit. The paper is fantastic! The ephemera is awesome! And the stamp sets are just so good!

This card uses the stencil included in the kit, along with ephemera and paper from the Bees paper pack. I only added a few pearls in lime green and yellow to finish off this card.

For this card I used LOTS of paper from the paper pack. Aren’t these papers just fantastic!? I love all the designs and the colors. I stamped that sentiment and added lots of ephemera for the images. I did alter the flower ephemera to make it work for my card (don’t be afraid to to that to make it work for YOU).

More fantastic patterned paper on this one! I used the leftover black cardstock strips (from the previous card) to mimic the bee stripes. Then I added a gold metallic “HI” using a favorite alphabet die set from my stash.

For this one, I used only stamps and colored them in with Copic markers. Here I used Black and Purple Copic markers for the hair, and I show you just how to do that in the video.

Hummingbird Cards

I used both stamps and ephemera images for this card. That watercolor paper is from the Hummingbird paper pack included in this kit.

As a bonus card, I made this box card! I used a “no-line” coloring technique on the images from the stamp set. Then I used some acetate to raise those hummingbirds up above the flowers.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! I sure loved making them. I will be back with more to share soon!

Hexagon Stencils – three Backgrounds

Hello! Today I’m up on the Hedgehog Hollow blog sharing three backgrounds using the Hexagon Stencils from the August Kit.

These stencils are layering stencils, but there are so many other ways to use them, too!

Tape off a line of hexagons and use rainbow colors
Use the same stencil, ink in one color then offset to the right and add another color
Use the same color ink, and two sizes of hexagons

Head over to The Hedgehog Hollow blog to see all the details!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

World Bee Day card

Hey there! Did you know today is World Bee Day? Well, I couldn’t resist making a card with some cute bees from Paper Smooches.

I used a hexagon embossing folder on the background, inked it up with Distress Oxides and added lots of cuteness from Paper Smooches:

Hello!

The Layered Hello die is always a favorite of mine. The bees are from the Lots of Love set, and the flowers are from the Friendly Flowers set. I have a special place in my heart for Paper Smooches, because this is the company that got me back into stamping many years ago.

I just love that you can combine sets to make such a happy card like this one. Here’s a close up for you:

I had such a wonderful time creating this card. I hope you enjoyed this project. I also have a healthy respect for honeybees…they are such hard workers. And, did you know that aerodynamically they really shouldn’t be able to fly at all? But the bees don’t know that, so they go ahead and fly anyway.

See, they are inspirational as well!

You are Bee-utiful!

I’m also entering this into the Paper Smooches May Challenge: Flowers.

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll see you with another card share very soon.
