Altenew Educators “Alphabet Name Game” Blog Hop and Linky Party + Giveaway

Hello! Today I’m joining in the Alphabet Challenge along with other Altenew Certified Educators! The Challenge was to use the FIRST LETTER of your FIRST NAME and share a card technique with that letter!!

My first name starts with a “K” and let me tell you…there are not many card techniques starting with that letter! But I did come up with a good one to share: KISSING!!

So today I have four cards to share using the KISSING technique.


The idea of this technique is to take a solid stamp and “KISS” it to another stamp to add some design.

This is a really fun technique, just search for some solid stamps and stamps with a design you can combine together. I think this would be a really fun technique to try on a large flower, too!

Mixed Media Art Journal with Altenew

Hello, it’s Kari here and I’m so excited to be guesting for Altenew. I have created a two-page Art Journal Spread to share today, with lots of fun techniques! Visit the Altenew blog here to see all the details.

I love creating with multiple Mixed Media products! This was a fun tropical layout to put together.





I’m using Mixed Media paper here, and I added the leaves and brushed gesso over the entire panel. Then I used ALL kinds of fun mixed media: ink sprays, ink splatters,  stamping, gold inking, and gold metallic gel! So much fun!






		
		
			
			
		
	





Do you see that gold paste onto the dimensional leaves (I used my finger, one of the best tools in the craft room!)





I also cut letters from the Bold Alpha Caps die set to spell “Aloha.” I added some gold foil to the bottom of each letter using scor-tape. (please watch the video to see how this is done)






		
		
			
			
		
	





I Used both liquid adhesive and foam tape to get extra dimension on those flowers.





I happened to have lots of extra flowers, so I also created a slim-line card to match!

Altenew has some wonderful stamps and dies to create some stunning cards. Today I want to share an easy way to create the Craft-A-Flower Morning Glory dies and combine them with favorite stamps!

Take a look at some of the ways you can easily put together cards using these dies and stamps. I used the Stone Wall Stencil as a background…I thought those morning glories would be great “Climbing” up the wall. Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Tulips Outline Stamp Set & More Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello! I’m so excited to be participating in the Altenew Paint-A-Flower Tulip blog hop. The brand new Tulips Outline Stamp set is just beautiful, take a look:






		
		
			
			
		
	





I stamped this set with some copic-friendly ink and then colored up the image with copics. The colors I used are: 
Tulips: RV14, R43, RV29, E000
Leaves: YG05, YG17
Purple Flowers: BV04, BV000
Mini Yellow Flowers: Y11, Y000
Brown Centers: E25, E29





I added the image with foam tape to a background using the Dotted Lines Debossing Cover die. This die adds just enough interest to the background and I love it!

See those pens in the background? Those are the new Flower Gel Pen Set – Calla Lily. They are a black gel pen with a decorative flower on the end…so they look really pretty in a vase or pen holder!
