Rainbow Cards!

Today I’m a part of a video hop celebrating my friends Erica & Maria reaching some YouTube goals! This is a rainbow video hop and today I made 1 rainbow, and 2 cards with it.

Head on over to the video on YouTube to comment to win prizes:

I hope you enjoy these tricks I’m sharing to make 1 rainbow and 2 cards! Today I made slimline cards, but you could certainly use this technique for an A2 size or mini slimline card.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I really enjoyed joining in on this hop! See you soon!

Springtime Gnomes

Hello! Today I have a sweet Spring card to share with the *New Springtime Gnomes set from Maker Forte. This set has so many awesome Gnome images with eggs and spring characters! Today I chose the Bunny Gnome and paired it with some great patterned paper designed by Alex Syberia.

I thought those big white flowers looked a little like billowy clouds! So I loved it with this scene. I cut the paper down to A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). Then I stamped and colored the gnome with spring colors of Copic Markers.

The sentiment strip is from the Friendship Simple Sayings set. I cut it down to size and colored it with a purple Distress Ink to match the polka dots on the egg. I added a silver glitter paper just beneath the sentiment.

How cute is that little chick?! I added some die-cut grass and then popped up the gnome on top with foam tape.

To finish it off, I added a little Unicorn Stickles to the “clouds.” Then I put it all onto a heavy weight top-folding card base.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Patterned Paper plus a Peony

Hello! I love it when you find good patterned paper that make it so easy to create a card! Today I have a beautiful card to share using patterned paper from Maker Forte (designed by Alex Syberia).

I first found a black and white paper with words on it. When you look and highlight a few of the words, it says “You are Amazing!” Love it. Then I found a complimentary patterned paper from the same set with purples and oranges. I cut a smaller strip of this paper to put on as a band.

This inspired the color palette for the peony! This paper pack has so many bright and vivid papers in it. They are fun to mix and match.

I colored up the peony with Copic markers using: YR15, R21, E01.
These are colors I just plucked out of my markers and made them work together to create a peachy-orange color.

Coloring this flower was the longest part of this entire card. Once I was finished coloring the flower, I added some Dark Brown colored pencils in the “Nooks & Crannies.”

For some extra interest, I added some yellow Liquid Pearls to the center of the flower. These will dry raised and add a tactile element to the card.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!
