Fortune Teller (of cardmaking!)

Hello! Today I am sharing a card with the Fortune Teller of Cardmaking and here’s what she predicts: “I see stamps in your future.” Well, I’d say she’s pretty accurate! Lol. I loved making this card, watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I am recently obsessed with making mystical, magical backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks and today that’s exactly how I started this card. Then of course, I added gold stars and Opal foil using stencils! The Window to the World arch stencil is so awesome because it comes with 2 layers and 2 masks…that means there are lots of techniques you can achieve!

I used two stencils to get that opal foil look in the center of the arch. I hope you will watch the video to see how I created this. It’s a very fun technique…with beautiful results.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’ll see you soon with more cards to share,

Kari

Incendio! Blue Flames Birthday Card

Hello! Today I have a Blue Flames Birthday Card…Incendio! This is a fun one and I was inspired by science class (remember the Bunsen Burner…with a blue flame?)

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I really love working with these products from Miss Ink Stamps…there are so many sets in the Magical Collection to work with. I started with the new Flames stencil and used some inks and blue Glacier Paste (for the smallest flame layer).

I used the Perspective Floor stencil to create the floor (LOVE this stencil…there are 3 different floors to choose from on this one stencil). For the wood panels, I cut the Woodgrain Frame die and cut it apart to create the planks.

Watch the video above to see all the details for this card.

Queen’s Castle Interior

Hello! I’m sharing the Queen of Hearts Castle Interior imagination with you today with my newest card and video. Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

For this castle makeover, I thought a vibrant red rose floral wallpaper would be appropriate, and some pink pillars are just what the Queen ordered! Add some heart shield banners and a heart design on the carpet and you have the perfect interior design for this Queen! I hope you’ll stop to watch the video to see how this all came together…along with some tips along the way.

Magical Starry Background Castle card

Hello! Today I have a Magical Starry Background and Storybook Castle card to share (with a video of course)! Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This is a very fun one to create using some favorite techniques: ink blending, glossy paste through a stencil, foundry wax splattering, and white pigment ink through a stencil! I also added some additional Magical mini stars with silver glitter cardstock for good measure! I hope you will take a minute to check out the video on this one.

I was inspired by a pop-up book, where you turn the page and the next image pops up in 3D! You know the kind of books? So I thought that Storybook from the Storybook Alice stamp set (Miss Ink Stamps) would be the PERFECT way to create a pop-up look alike with the Magical World stamp set for the castle. Oh, how awesome! I share all my tricks for you in the video…so I hope you’ll check it out.
