Designer Purses: Valentines Edition

Hello! Today I’m excited to share my newest obsession with you in creating paper purses. I’m sharing a whole bunch of designer purses: Valentines Edition!

These purse dies are from Scrappy Tails Crafts and I’ve already made over a dozen of them. The details included in this die set are amazing and oh-so-cute!! Think zippers, tassels, buckles, and bows for accessories! It’s safe to say that I’m in love. (AND, they fold down to fit in an envelope for mailing!)

Today I’m sharing 5 fun ways to design and decorate these purses. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I made so many purses I couldn’t even fit them all in 1 photo. Lol. Let’s talk about some fun ways to design these purses!

1) Patterned Paper

Choose a fun patterned paper to design your purse. I found this gorgeous foiled heart paper to try out and I used other heart designer paper on other purses. It’s an easy way to add some flair!

2) Stenciled Background

See that Paris bag on the right? That was made with an amazing new Layering stencil from Scrappy Tails. I love the pink, grey, and black color combo!

3) Embossing Folders

The pink purse on the left and the heart purse (in between the two red purses) are both embossed with an embossing folder. This is a fun way to add texture and pizzaz to your bag.

4) Foiled Paper

Foiled paper is a great way to add shine, and you really don’t need many more embellishments. I used a glittery bow, a felt rose, and black flap to adorn these purses. So classy!

5) Die Cut Images

I love die cut images on these purses! The flowers on the left purse are from the perfume set from Scrappy Tails…I think they look so perfect on one of these purses. I love the heart dies, too.

The truffles work great on these purses, too…I added a See’s candy gift card inside of this bag!

And these cookie dies might be my favorite on a gift card holder!! I love that the “crumbs” are included in this die set! I put a cookie gift card inside this one. On the back of the gift card holder, is a type written sentiment that says “When things are bad and getting worse, keep a cookie in your purse.”

Isn’t that perfect?!?

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these purses today! I’m off to make even more of them for my granddaughters for Valentine’s Day. See you soon with more crafty projects.
