Ink Smooshing with Mica Sprays

Hello! Today I have a fun project using Mica Sprays for Ink Smooshing! I’ve never used this medium for ink smooshing before, but found that it adds some fun pearl shine to a background.

Watch the video below or on YouTube:

I love this set from Miss Ink Stamps…these Axolotls are so fun! I used the coordinating dies for this one, and this time I was SOOOO happy to use them…cutting these critters out would have been a bear! See how the dies cut out the inside pieces too? So perfect.

For ink smooshing I used Distress inks and then Mica Sprays. See the video for how I did this. The EIEIO Frame die set has four frame dies and I used them ALL on this card. I also used the included alphabet dies to spell the word “ALOTL.” I just love creating my own sentiments like this.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! Thanks for stopping by!

Highland Cows Layering Stencils

Hello! Today I am featuring the Highland Cows Layering Stencils from Miss Ink Stamps in my video…this creates the cutest little scene: with the Highland Cow, a little bird, and some flowers.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I’m creating two cards using a different set of browns for each: the first card I used a more yellow/brown colorway, and the second card I used a more red/brown set of ink colors. It turns out so cute no matter the colors you use! I love a great layering stencil, and this one is a cute one!

To finish off this first card, I used the stitched edge from the Punny Farms Frame Die set to cut the panel. I added some colored pencil to make some areas darker. Then, I added some gems and Liquid Pearls to finish off the look.

For this second card, I used the darker red/brown colors and made the flowers pinkish purple. To finish off this one, I added some Stickles to the center of the flowers.

I created my own sentiment, using a partial sentiment from the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set, and cutting out the “Moo” from the EIEIO Frame Die set alpha. The scalloped edge is from the same die set.

That cute little fence is from the Coordinating die set from the Highland Cows stamp set (which I did not use…I only used the coordinating die to cut that fence from white cardstock).

Succulent with Terrarium Card

Hello! Today I’m excited to share a new video featuring succulents with a Terrarium card! This is a new die set that I cannot wait to play with more.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I started off with a hot foiled background using the Majestic Motifs hot foil plate. This is a beautiful hot foil plate AND it has a matching cover die, so you can layer that on top if you would like!

I have a bonus card with another hot foiled background using the Mosaic Maze hot foil plate (scroll down to see it)!

Take a look at those vibrant succulent plants! You will have to see the video to see how I colored them up so bright. I just LOVE how this turned out! The terrarium is pretty awesome, too.

This Succulents set is a NEW favorite!! Can you see the foundry wax on that terrarium? Watch the video to see how I applied two colors of foundry wax!

BONUS CARD: Here’s my bonus card using that maze hot foiled in copper! I think the copper really compliments the succulents. I’m sending you lots of WARM WISHES from Arizona!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today with these GORGEOUS succulents! Can you tell I love them?! Of course an Arizona girl would love them…LOL. I’ll be back soon with more cards to share.

Masking Alice with the Teacups

Hello! Today I’m excited to bring you a new video about Masking Alice with the Teacups. I have some advanced masking techniques for this one (but I think they are actually EASY), so I hope you will take a look!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I really love this Alice Collection and I pulled in quite a few sets to make these cards. Everything is interchangeable in this collection…so it all worked seamlessly.

The sentiment on this was created with the alphabet from the EIEIO stamp set. It’s a combination of “Take Care” and “Good Luck”…both of which you need when talking to the Queen of Hearts! Lol.

I also used the Perspective Floor stencil for many of these cards. This is not necessarily an Alice stencil, but it can be used for SO MANY different scenes. It’s definitely a favorite of mine.

I also share in the video how to use any image and mask it to fit in the teacup…it really makes it fun to think of different cards you could make!

I love the Hi Swirl Frame with this Alice and her Flamingo in a Teacup. The background is created with the Alice Background Stencil Pack.

I HAD TO add Dee & Dum to a teacup also, and I was able to fit them in with just a little bit of surgery (sorry about that leg, Dee)! I also love the Dodo bird with a flamingo on his back!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed these cards today! I really had a great time creating with my favorite Alice Collection!

Mass Producing Cards: Pine Branch Layering Stencil

Hello! Today I’m Mass Producing cards with this awesome Pine Branch Layering Stencil. I hope you’ll check out the video to see how easy this stencil is to use…and if you have the die cut it’s even EASIER to make tons of cards fast!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

These cards are not only eye catching, but they’re also fun to make and QUICK! I used different embossing folders for each card and that really makes the backgrounds stand out.

I really love this Tree Ring embossing folder…it looks so nice with this Pine Branch. I also stamped and die cut a WHOLE BUNCH of Christmas sentiments so I could pick and choose which ones I wanted for each card. I love a set that stamps a bunch of sentiments at once, and you die cut them all together, too.

I’ll see you soon with more cards to share!
