Daisies for Mom

Hello! I have a couple daisy cards to share today, using a favorite die set from Scrappy Tails Crafts. This set is called Layering Daisies and it’s really fun to work with.

My video shows you an easy way to watercolor these dies, and create two cards. Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:

I love working with these products…and you can see the Hummingbird I used here on this card. Hummingbirds are my mom’s favorites and everytime I see one, I think of her.

I used brush watercolor markers for these cards, which are so vibrant and colorful!

For the background on this card, I mixed some watercolor brush marker color with embossing paste. Then I added it to my card panel with a dot stencil. I added the daisies all around the frame of the card.

The circle sentiments are my favorites! So unique and perfect for cutting out glitter paper. I used glitter paper on both projects.

Hope you enjoyed these projects today. See you soon!

What A Catch! Gone Fishing

Hello! Today I have a quick post and video for you sharing the new April 2021 Hedgehog Hollow Kit and a card. There is so much adventure in this new kit! I almost couldn’t decide what to make first…and I ended up making a Fishing card.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

For my card, I started out with a BLUE cardstock and inked around the edges. Then I used the fishing silhouette stamp, masking off the bottom portion of that stamp. I used a few of the sentiments for the center. (And yes, I did CUT A STAMP APART! I thought it would be easier this way!)

I used the fish stencil to add some fish to the bottom portion of the card panel in grey. Then I finished it off with some iridescent sequins.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Building a Scene with Stencil Fade

Hello! Today I have a fun video to share using the Stencil Fade technique to build a scene. I’m using Miss Ink Stamps for these cards, and they work so well together.

Take a look at the video by watching below or in HD on YouTube:

I really love this technique for fun backgrounds, and I started by inking up the background softly using an ergonomic blending brush. Then I built up the scene using the Meadow Scene builder set.

Fairy Cards with Gel Press Backgrounds

Hello! Today I’m up on the Hedgehog Hollow blog again sharing some Fairy Cards with Gel Press Backgrounds. I share the details over there, but I do have a video showing all the details!

This is a fun layering process to these cards, watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I hope you will take a look! I love adding multiple layers to a card when it makes sense. These techniques all lend themselves well to a fairy card.

Since I was already doing a gel press technique, I went ahead and took an extra pull for the second card. I LOVE the soft look!
