Seashore Cards featuring Maker Forte

Hello! Today I’m using some of the new stamp sets from the Under the Seashore release from Maker Forte. I have 2 seashore cards to share!

Card 1: Mermaid with the Blues

This card features the Ocean Borders stamp set, which has a beautiful seashell border, some great sentiments and this amazing mermaid stamp:

I stamped this with multiple colors of ink, first stamping the top section with Blueberry Cheesecake ink. Then, I inked on the next section with Icy Mist ink and I dabbed off some ink where the two inks would meet so I wouldn’t get a harsh line. I stamped that layer of the stamp.

Next, I inked on Blue Raspberry and finally Vegas Strip inks. (always using my microfiber cloth to dab off between the colors)

That sentiment is so true: I need Vitamin SEA!

I matted this with multiple layers: using Aged Antique vellum for one layer, and Eclipse Black cardstock for the next layer. The final layer of white is the 110# white cardstock card base.

Card 2: True North

This next card features the True North stamp set. I love all these images and the overall vibe they give. There are many shells and this really awesome octopus. I couldn’t resist stamping that octopus in multiple colors for the background!

The ink colors I used for the Octopus are: Vegas Strip, Blueberry Cheesecake, Flat White, Blue Raspberry and Icy Mist! Are you noticing a trend in my color choices for these cards?!

I stamped the anchor image in between each of the octopus with Fog ink. I used some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to mat the entire panel and added a few gems to finish it all off.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you loved these ocean cards like I do! Thanks for stopping by today!

Altenew August 2022 Endless Ambition Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Welcome to the Endless Ambition Blog Hop with Altenew! I am so excited to share my projects with this release…there are some amazing products!

This exciting release is chock full of possibilities for every crafter. Hot foil plates with coordinating stencil sets are the focus, but we have also included some beautiful die sets. Feathers, flowers, greenery, and sentiments will find their way to your projects this month. Lastly, Timeless Tulips (an exclusive retreat collection from July) will be available along with this release!

I have LOTS of projects to share, so let’s get started!

Card 1: Curtain Leaves Cover Plate Die

This is a gorgeous die…and I couldn’t resist creating an alcohol inked background and adding the Curtain Leaves Cover Plate die right over the top!

I added some ink blended leaves from THIS die and heat embossed that gorgeous sentiment from THIS set.

I am completely in love with this cover die and I think it will get tons of use!

Cards 2, 3 & 4: Dreamy Feathers die

You must KNOW that I couldn’t stop with this new die. It is GENIUS! The layers of this die allow you to cut different portions in different colors (and/or glitter paper!) and fit them all together as one. WOW!

For this first card I used Altenew Glitter paper in gold, some yellow paper and a slightly patterned paper for the top layer. I was simply in AWE as I put it all together. I added some white pigment ink for the clouds in the background. And now I have the “Feather Theme” song in my head from Forrest Gump…do you know the one?

Of course I couldn’t resist a RAINBOW themed feather!

For this one I watercolored the background with the Altenew watercolors, then I ink blended the bottom layer of the feather die with similar colors. I die cut the TOP layer of Dreamy Feathers die with white cardstock and added some glitter paper to the center of the feather just for good measure!

I splattered on some black paint and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I cut 3 additional feathers and stacked them up for some dimension. A few gold pearls finished this card off.

Once I finished that card, I thought the top layer of the die would look awesome on a background! First I die cut the back layer to act as a STENCIL and inked on some purple ink. Then I put the top layer over that…

Dreamy, right? That “For You” sentiment die is also a part of this release…and it worked perfectly for this card. I die cut the background of the sentiment in gold foil paper, and the top layer in a dark purple cardstock.

I have a video up on assembling these gorgeous feathers, and 3 ways to use your layering dies, check it out here:

Card 5: Hot Foil Wreath & Sweet Sentiments Hot Foil (with die)

This Hot Foil wreath is so beautiful, and it has a matching coloring stencil, which makes for an EASY card with just the right amount of foil.

There is that hot foil sentiment again…and I love that it has the die to cut it out. Here I foiled it in a matching blue foil to complement the wreath colors.

LOOK at that foil! Love it!

Card 6: Rainbow Burst Hot Foil Plate & Stencil

The Rainbow Burst Hot Foil plate is so fun! I used some AURA foil for this and then used the matching stencil to color in some soft colors.

I already had foiled the sentiments with some turquoise foil, and I thought the “Celebrate” sentiment would look perfect on this card! A little subsentiment and some gems finish off this stunning card.

Card 7: Timeless Tulips

I am a BIG fan of tulips so this set gives me all the heart-eyes! This beautiful stamp set has a matching coloring stencil and that really makes me happy!! I love an option of either coloring it myself, or simply adding ink for a quick card.

I hope you enjoyed all these projects today! Don’t forget to take a look at the entire release HERE because there are so many more awesome products. Altenew does a great job in creating product that makes card-making stunning AND easy!

SUNSHINE-Elvis-card-1

Elvis in the House!

Hello! Today I have a fun Elvis card…in the Hall of Fame! I’m using a cute little set from Miss Ink Stamps called Thank You Very Much.

Did you know Elvis is the only performer that was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Country Hall of Fame, AND the Gospel Hall of Fame? That’s so cool.

That is what gave me the the idea to create this card. Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This is such a fun little set, and I used GOLD and SILVER ink to make those records in the background.

I know the REAL Elvis had dark hair, almost black hair, but I made mine with brown hair to match my color scheme. And I felt like a white jump suit was too plain…so my Elvis has a purple/blue jump suit with a lime green jacket! LOL. Now there’s some color!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I hope you enjoyed this project today! Thanks for stopping by!

Card 1: Build A Garden — Daffodil Delight

The first subscription is the NEW Build A Garden subscription. I love this month’s flower: Daffodil! It also comes with a coloring stencil and a blending brush, which makes it SOOOOO easy to put together a beautiful card fast!

I used some of THIS watercolor paper as the mat to really make those flowers shine!

Card 2: Craft A Flower — Open Peony

The Craft A Flower subscription might just be my favorite one! It comes with a die set that builds beautiful flowers, leaves, and sometimes includes a sentiment die. Look at that Open Peony flower this set creates! LOVE!

For the background, I used THIS Castle Motifs stencil and dry embossed it for the background, then I lightly inked over it.

Card 3: Craft Your Life — Magnolia & Blooms

The Craft Your Life kit is absolutely amazing…this one has a gorgeous Magnolia & Blooms spray, a magnolia embossing folder, and coloring stencils! Everything you need to create an amazing card.

Card 4: Paint A Flower — Wood Anemone
