Peace on Earth

Well Hello! I’m back with some Christmas cards to share. After a big move, my daughter and her family (including 2 granddaughters) moving in with us, my mother-in-law having a stroke, and my grandmother passing away, I am FINALLY back to posting on my blog. Whew.

A big thank you to Online Holiday Card Class 2015 for inspiring me to get back at it!

My first card is clean and simple:

It’s hard to see in this picture, but there a little glittery snow in the background. I love this die edge and it’s the first time I’ve used it!

I was inspired by Julie Ebersole for the snow. I used a glue pad and some Stickles dry glitter over the top. I’m loving this class and so glad I could participate!

Stretch your Dies (day 5) — Masking Stamped Images

First, stamp your stamp on masking paper. Then air brush (or use distress ink) to color the background. Remove masks, stamp your image….and Voila! This card turned out cute, I think:

I popped up the sun near the bottom of the card…just for a little fun. 🙂

Stretch Your Dies — Masking & Dry embossing

So this was a fun idea to mask off the shape, then ink in the inside, then dry emboss the dots around the shape. I don’t know if that makes sense, but I loved making this card.

I image those balloons are carrying that funny bird away!

Stretch your Dies (day 7) — Alphabet Dies

Jennifer McGuire showed us a great trick for getting alphabet dies all lined up. I was so happy…and I had to give this one a try right away.

This one is a birthday card for my sister-in-law (she better not see this until after Wednesday!) I thought this one would make her smile.

A little Lawn Fawn alphabet, a Little Paper Smooches bird, a Neat & Tangled embossed sentiment, add some gems….and you get a fun, happy card! And do those letters look well lined up, or what?! (I used a T-ruler and some post-it tape to get them just right) Thanks for a great class today, Jennifer!
