Dry Embossed Background

So I struggled with this MFT Camp Create – Divine Dry Embossing.

I don’t have many dies, but I did find one that might work…these daisies. I ran the card through my Big Shot machine multiple times with a rubber mat in order to emboss these flowers onto the shimmery yellow paper (from Bazzill).

Then I die cut the white daisy out of the same die and layered it up on the black panel. The “Thanks a bunch” sentiment came from MFT’s Cheeky Monkey set. I thought it worked perfectly on this card!

I added white dots with a gel pen and green leaves from a patterned paper (found in my scraps stash). The center of the flower is Nuvo drops…I’m beginning to like these Nuvo drops! Enjoy.

Single Layer Card with MFT

Today’s MFT Camp Create Bonfire Challenge is Single Layer Savvy.

Oftentimes it requires much masking and patience to make a single layer card. I have not done many of these type of cards (yet), but this time I thought I’d jump right in!

I used my Prismacolor pencils for the coloring, and distress inks for the background sky and ground. And lots of masking!! The stamp set is My Favorite Things Forest Friends.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for visiting. 🙂

Emboss Resist Butterflies

It’s all about Remarkable Resist at MFT Camp Create. And I couldn’t resist playing with the Sweet Forest Friends stamp set for this one!

I embossed those butterflies with white embossing powder, then inked on some distress inks. I think it’s so cute how that bunny is looking up at the butterflies. Then I colored up the tree and bunny with prismacolor pencils and glued them on the panel.

Oh, and it’s hard to tell by this picture, but the lines in the background are also embossed with glitter embossing powder. Love the glittery look!

Here’s a little close up of those butterflies. So sweet. Have a delightful day!

Awesome Ombre Flamingo

For todays MFT Camp Create Challenge, I am entering the following pink Ombre card:

ombre-flamingo

I used the darling Flamingoes die from My Favorite Things on a watercolored panel I made. Didn’t that watercoloring give the body of the flamingo so much interest and movement?!

And, yes, I am a crazy person for gluing on all those seed beads, but I thought it was so. much. fun.

I do realize this is not a practical card for putting in the mail or for small children, but I did have fun creating it! 😉

I am just tickled pink by those ombre stripes, too.

Monochromatic Chameleon

Today I’m participating in the MFT Camp Create: Monochromatic Magic.

I’ve been waiting for just the right card for this adorable chameleon, and it all came together for this challenge. See how the chameleon just blends in with his surroundings? So cute.

So it turns out that I have a bit of turquoise/teal colored items: paper, Stickles, watercolor markers, glitter tape, and distress ink. 🙂

This is my first time participating in MFT Camp Create! Hope I can keep up. Enjoy!
