Try this Masking Stencil Idea

Hello! Today I have a new Masking Stencil idea for you to try! I am creating a Valentine card with adorable stamps and stencils from Miss Ink Stamps.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I started out with a stencil that had much white space in between the stencil pattern. Then I used a MASKING stencil in a new way: to mask off the first stencil to be able to add ink to the white space! I hope you will watch the video to see what I mean.

I love this Snail image from the Snail Mail stamp set. Super cute! Today I colored it up in shades of pink and red for my Valentine card.

The love you sentiment features my FAVORITE alphabet die set! I used the placement stencil to line up the sentiment on my card.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed! See you soon with more cards and more techniques to share!

Light Up Toucan Card

Hello! Today I have a fun Light Up Toucan Card to share, with a foiled background. This is a fun card and the light just dances off that foil.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I started out with the NEW ESP (Effortless Shimmer Paper) from Crafty Meraki. This paper is beautiful…and you can use this paper as is OR you can foil it to add some pretty color and shine.

For this background, I used the Cupid’s Canvas Effortless Shimmer Paper and foiled it with some pretty pink foil. When I added the light, it really makes things sing!

I hope you will take a look at the video to see how to add the light EASILY!

Shake It Up!

Hello…it’s a New Year so Let’s Shake It Up!! Today I have a mini slimline shaker card to share, with a bonus card. Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This first card is the shaker card…and I colored up those yummy cupcakes with Copic Markers. I just love this cupcake set!! I colored THREE cupcakes, and didn’t have space for all of them on this shaker card, so since I had the cut out of the HUGS as well, I made a second card.

How good does that chocolate look on this cupcake with the whipped topping?! I love a fancy cupcake. I have loved using all these products today! I hope you will watch the video to see the process of putting these cards together.

Stealing a Kiss under the Umbrella!

Hello! Today I have a card with a couple stealing a kiss under the umbrella! I’m using the new J’Adore card Kit from Scrappy Tails Crafts.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This card kit has so much included: a large stamp set, a die set, a 6×6 paper pad, a layering stencil, and two packs of embellishments! Watch the video to see all that is included in the kit.

For this card I used the die set, the stamp set and some of the embellishments out of the kit. This die set is such a delight to work with! There is a base layer that allows you to add on each of the details of the die. I used ink blending to color up the elements this time, except for the skin…for that I colored with Copic markers.

That Scooter is from the stamp set…and I colored it up with blue markers. I love the idea of a scooter on a cobblestone path!

Sweet Spa Valentine with Vellum

Hello! Today I have a Sweet Spa Valentine with Vellum featuring some stencils and stamps from Miss Ink Stamps.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

How cute is that furry doggie?! I love the colors pink and grey together so I went with that color scheme for this card.

This card was so fun to make! I started out by stenciling on those large paw prints with some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Then I die cut a heart from some light pink cardstock. I stenciled on the heart paw prints from the Pawstome Stencil using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

I cut a vellum heart just larger than the pink heart. This will diffuse the background and draw the eye to the center of the card.

After coloring the image and stamping the sentiment, I put it all together using foam tape and liquid adhesive. For all the details, enjoy the short process video.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible.
