Fall Glowing Fireside Card

Hello! Today I have a fun Fall Glowing Fireside Card to share with a video. I love a good Fall card, and these Camping Critters are perfect for that!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

How cute are these critters!? I love them. I also love this new Bonnie Birch Trees die. It creates so much texture and interest to your fall background! Can you see the subtle tan diagonal stripe on these trees?

I colored up the critters with Copic markers and added some extra “fire glow” on them with yellow markers. Watch the video to see just how I did this coloring.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’ll be back with another card to share soon!

Double Oven Slimline Shaker Card

Hello! Today I have a Double Oven Slimline Shaker Card to share and Oh is it awesome! This new die from Whimsy Stamps is one of my new favorites…and I don’t think it’s hard to see why. Just take a look at the video and photos below!

I’ve share all the details and how-to in the video so it’s easy! I love the little oven mitt and potholder. I also used the NEW Baking die set to add in the pie and the turkey (how cute are they)?!?

I do think this slimline oven is the cutest as a shaker card, but you certainly don’t have to make it into a shaker. I added some peppermint embellishments to my shaker (they just remind me of the holidays)!

I just had to make a mint green shaker oven…inspired by my new mini fridge at my office! It’s so cute and retro!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. I hope you enjoyed this project today. I sure had a great time making it. I’d love to hear your favorite holiday baking recipes! Leave me a comment below or on the video and tell me…do you make pies?!

Give Thanks

Hello! Today I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I have created some fun Thanksgiving (as well as holiday cards) to share.

All these cards (and signs) have one thing in common: FOIL! I’m sharing how to make all these cards using vellum or acetate AND Foil on the latest Foiling Friday at Maker Forte.

Watch the video below:

I LOVED creating these cards, including shaker cards using a full sheet of acetate! That penguin card might be my favorite…but I did make many mistakes on that card. I share HOW to fix them and create a fun look.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pie Placecards

Hello! I’m back with some Thanksgiving table Pie placecards!

I found this little pie die from Lil Inker Designs and I just knew that I needed it for my Thanksgiving table placecards this year. Here’s a preview:

I made all kinds of flavors: pumpkin, chocolate, pecan, banana cream, apple, cherry, key lime…. all the favorites for this time of year!

Can you pick out which flavors are which? I added all the names with a black pen. Here’s a photo of my Thanksgiving table with the placecards…getting closer to being ready!

Pumpkin pie for Lann!

I hope you enjoyed this quick look at the PIE placecards! I love them!

A Very Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends celebrating in the U.S.

Metallix Gel to add Shine

Hello! Today I’m excited to bring you a variety of cards using Metallix Gel in five colors. I got these a while ago and finally found the perfect time to use them…as a part of my AECP Certification. I was inspired by Carissa Wiley in her “Let It Shine” class.

This Metallix Gel is the perfect product to shine on your cards! I tested out the colors on both black and white cardstock to see the differences the backgrounds make on the colors.

I combined these beautiful backgrounds with one of my new favorite Altenew Layering flowers to make some colorful cards! This first card is perfect for this time of year. I used the Mega Blessed die and heat embossed it multiple times in gold to get a metallic embellishment!

This was also a first time using some Altenew inks and I fell in LOVE!!

Look at those vibrant ink colors! (Love)

I really enjoyed making all these backgrounds and putting the cards together, and I made a video to show you some tricks I learned along the way. Watch it below, or on YouTube:

This Layering Flower set is just wow!

Did I mention I took lots of pictures? Lol. The next card I used the Uppercase Alphabet dies to cut out some PEARLIZED paper for the sentiment. The pearl paper looks so cool with the black on black…check out the close up picture below to see it a little better.

Here’s all four cards I put together…they all shine in their own way. For the orange flowers I used Distress Oxides and I have to say, for this project I loved the vibrant inks from Altenew. I need to get myself some more of their inks!

A big thank you for stopping by today! I am excited to announce that this is my last course in Level 1 for AECP. I have my final exam and then on to Level 2!! Yay!
