Beautiful Spring Butterflies

Hello! Today I have some Beautiful Spring Butterflies to share…with cards 3 ways! I love it when you can stretch your dies in this way…and I still have more ideas for this die set. I fell in love with it even more when I started working with it.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This die has so many possibilities! It’s an A7 size (so quite large!) and here I have created a Pop-Up Stand card, an A2 card with the butterfly “Flying off the card”, and a shaped card. I love that it is large enough to create a shaped card on it’s own!

For this card I used an alcohol inked panel for the background. I think it has just enough interest but not so much that it takes away from that gorgeous butterfly. I added gems and liquid pearls to embellish it.

Here is the shaped card! I just love a shaped card, don’t you?

And here is the pop-up pedestal card! Oh this is such a great design…if you add a rubberband to the center of the pedestal, it will “pop-up” every time. You can put this in an envelope because it folds completely flat, and then when you take it out of the envelope it will pop up into shape! Watch the video to see exactly what I mean.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you loved these projects like I do!

Birds and Birdhouse Pop-Up Cards

Hello! Today I have the brightest Spring Birds and Pop-Up Birdhouse Cards to share. I really fell in love with these birds and I couldn’t stop making colorful birds (patterned after REAL birds)!

I made so many birds and card samples, that I separate them into TWO videos! Watch them below or in HD on YouTube:

Just how cute are these birds?! I really loved to make them and I share a tip for choosing colors and creating your OWN in my video.

I love the little chubby birds and the smaller birds! And there’s a die for Blue Jays, too! Of course I couldn’t stop at just Blue Jays, I made two variations on that bird including a woodpecker.

In the second video I share how to make these pop-up birdhouses! The one on the left is completely foldable and fits in an envelope to mail if you want. The yellow one is more of a decor piece….and I’m using it for a place setting for Easter!

EVEN MORE CARDS!
I also share an A2 shaped card and another A2 card idea using this same die! I love it when you can stretch your dies like this.

Rainbow Clover Cards (and ink comparison)

Hello! Today I have three Rainbow Clover cards to share! It’s appropriate for this St. Patrick’s Day, right? I LOVE these sets today from Colorado Craft Company.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I made three different cards with three different ink companies: PinkFresh Studios, Catherine Pooler and Maker Forte. I chose some nice, light colors to create the rainbows.

Card 1: Pinkfresh Studio Inks

I made all these cards at the same time, stamping the first arc of the rainbow on three different panels (using a different ink company on each panel). Here is the Pinkfresh Studio Ink rainbow:

2. Catherine Pooler Inks

3. Maker Forte Inks

Which one is YOUR favorite?

Sending a Little Luck

Hello! Today I’m sending you a little luck with this green rainbow card! I love making St. Patricks Day cards with green and a touch of gold. Today I’m using the Rainbow Builder Stencil from Miss Ink Stamps.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love the look of green with gold! Here I used some Mirror Cardstock to cut out the word “Luck.”

I used the Rainbow Builder stencil for this, and instead of adding the included heart, I changed it for a clover from the Pick A Card stencil!

For the second card, I used some Lunar Paste for the touch of gold.

Cherry Blossoms in Bloom!

Hello! It’s Kari with a new video to share. Today I’m creating a spring card using the Magnolia Sympathy stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps. These flowers make perfect cherry blossoms.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love this set for spring…you really can have a lot of fun building up any bouquet look. Here I stamped the branches and extra flowers and leaves to create my bundle.

After I stamped on the flowers, I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil to add some shades of blue.

I added some Grit Paste through the Heirloom Blooms stencil. It reminds me of pollen…and that’s a perfect nod to Spring!! LOL.

Then I added some of the extra flowers and leaves with foam tape for some dimension. This was a fun card to create! I hope you enjoy!
