Altenew Glint & Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, Embossing Folders and Stencils Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello and welcome to the Altenew Glint & Glimmer Blog hop! Today I am excited to join in to share the NEW foil plates and other product newly released from Altenew! CLICK here to check out the entire new release.

I have SIX cards to share, so let’s get started:

Card 1: Anemone Branch & Die with Deco Diamonds Stencil Embossing

I fell in LOVE with the Anemone Branch Stencil & Die….you can stencil on the branch, and stencil the flowers separately to die cut. Then POP them up for a simply stunning look!

The Deco Diamonds Stencil is gorgeous and here I used it for dry embossing on the background panel. Want to see it in use with inks? Check out my next card.

Card 2: Deco Diamonds Stencil Inked with Tiny Patterns Hot Foil Plate

I inked up the background with the stunning Deco Diamonds Stencil…this is a 2 piece stencil so it’s easy to add 2 different colors. Here I used a coral and a grey ink on the background.

The small lines are FOILED using the new Tiny Patterns Hot Foil Plate. It is so simple and fun to use. I added a flower from the previous anemone stencil & die (which quickly became a favorite of mine).

The Tiny Patterns Hot Foil Plates are the perfect size for a tag also! I used another one of the patterns on this tag.

The Sentiments are FOILED around the edges using the Sentiment Banners Hot Foil Plate…which gives you many sizes of foiled banners all at once! Cut them ALL out at the same time with the Sentiment Banners Cover Die. These banners are sized perfectly to go with the Sentiment Strips stamp set 1 and Sentiment Strips stamp set 2.

Card 3: Gilded Rose Hot Foil Plate AND Stencil

The new Gilded Rose Hot Foil Plate is amazing and really makes a statement. The best part is, after you foil the rose, you can then color it using inks and the Gilded Rose Layering Stencil Set!! Oh, my! I fell directly in love with this combo, and they do offer a Gilded Rose bundle, too!

To show off that rose, I finished the card off simply using the Peace Die inked in the same colors that I used on the rose.

Card 4 & 5: Sunburst Doily

Oh the Sunburst Doily Hot Foil Plate & Die Set is a beautiful match!! They come sold TOGETHER, so you can do all sorts of amazing techniques with this one. Here I foiled the Sunburst Doily with a silver foil, then die cut the shape and popped it up on a background embossed with the new Dotty Circles 3D Embossing Folder.

With the extra foil, I hot foiled a white sheet of cardstock and cut it into a shaped card! (card on the left)…Foil is notoriously difficult to photograph, so I hope you can see how gorgeous this Sunburst Doily is foiled.

I foiled the Sentiment Banners Hot Plate Plate and Die set using some turquoise foil…which perfectly matches with this card.

Card 6: Double Rainbow Stencil

The Double Rainbow Stencil creates a beautiful slimline card with multiple rainbows. You could, of course, cut it down to an A2 size card as well. I used the remaining turquoise banners for the sentiment on this one. Those stars are ALSO from the Sentiment Banners Hot Foil and Cover Die…they are like a little happy bonus!

Have you used a Hot Foil Press before? Watch my video below to see the hot foiling process and these cards come together!

Handmade Candy Book

Hello! I am excited to share this project with you today….we are making Candy Books from cardstock! Remember those lifesaver books that made an appearance this time of year? Well, that’s kinda the idea with this project.

I have a video with ALL the details of how to make this, watch it here or in HD on YouTube:

For the front cover I created a book jacket with silver vellum (I love this stuff!). I heat embossed the stamp from “All I Want for Christmas” on the vellum and I really love how it turned out.

For the inside, I stamped in red and green using the Tough Nut to Crack stamp set.

On the spine, I added some details with stamps and glitter tape. I love the font of the scripty “Jingle all the way.”

For the back of the book, I wanted some interesting texture, so I used the Damask stamp to clear heat emboss a design.

I have a few other ideas for the book front cover, too. You could easily change out this book jacket cover for a stenciled front cover. Here’s my favorites from the newest Maker Forte release:

Stencil this one up in reds and greens for a festive look!
A pretty Poinsettia!
Make them all have red glittery noses…or just one!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today…these are definitely favorites of mine!

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I’ll be back soon with more projects and cards!

It’s Pumpkin Time!

Hello, I am so happy that it’s pumpkin time…I have a pumpkin patch card to share with you today. I’m using some new stencils from Miss Ink Stamps with some of my favorite stamp sets!

Watch the short video below or in HD on YouTube:

I have an ALL-TIME favorite pumpkin dessert that is only available this time of year. It is from Vito’s Italian Restaurant and is called Pumpkin Crunch Cake. It is so so good! I’ve tried to re-create it several times with no luck. So I just have to settle for eating it while it’s available this month only! I couldn’t stop thinking about it while creating this card.

For the background, I added some glitter gel (I love a bit of glitter on my card!) I share all the details in the video!

Altenew November 2021 Sparkle and Shine Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello and welcome to the Altenew November 2021 Sparkle and Shine Collection release Blog Hop & Giveaway!

I am so excited to share SIX projects with you today with this new release. There are so many awesome products, and I just couldn’t stop making!

Card 1 & 2: Stunning Starflowers

This new Stunning Starflowers stamp set is a gorgeous Layering Stamp set! I wanted to create a RED flower first (since it reminded me of a Poinsettia). I used the new Crossweaves 3d Embossing Folder for the background…isn’t that design just so stunning?

When you get the coordinating dies for this set, you also get the die cut that cuts the word “STAR.”

I also had to create BLUE flower with the Stunning Starflowers set!

For this one, I created a yellow background with the awesome Illusion Diamonds stamp set. The sentiment is also from the same Illusion Diamonds set (there are 9 sentiments in this set with this beautiful sans-serif font)!

Card 3: Coloring with a Stencil

The new In the Woodland stamp set also has a coordinating coloring stencil, so you can color up this beautiful floral SO FAST! I loved this stencil…and I used some pinks and greens to get a soft color.

Card 4 & 5: Tree Mix

Oh, I love these die sets where you can MIX and MATCH the elements to get a different look. This new Tree Mix Die Set is a new favorite of mine!

Altenew Tree Mix Die set

There are so many options to mix and match the background of the tree, with the tree “branches.” For this first card, I inked up the background in greens, added some cream colored trees (with a little tan ink blending around the edges). For the tree branches, I cut out different dies with Altenew Gradient glitter paper!

Tree Mix Dies

I die cut the JOY letters from this Alphabet die set from Altenew.

I also created a simple tree for this card…and used the Crossweaves 3D embossing Folder for the background (inked up with a GOLD ink). I cut the Happy Holidays from the new All About Wishes Word die set.

Card 6: Fancy Star Builder

Oh, now to the Fancy Star Builder Stencil. I am in love with building different stars and looks with colors, and this one I created the stars to look like snowflakes!

Of course, I had to add some glitter and sparkle…so a little glitter gel on the top layer was just perfect!

For the word SNOW, I die cut out the background with THIS Alpha die, then added some cardstock to build it up before re-attaching the letters.

If you’d rather Stamp these Stars, there is also a Fancy Star Builder Stamp set! Try different color combos and have fun!

New INKS!

BUT WAIT…there’s more! Altenew has also released new ink colors and they are yummy! I fell in love with the new Frozen Delights Ink Set…. just take a look at these colors:

There are SIX new colors in this set (I love the names, too: Strawberry, Orange Sorbet, Lemon Ice, Pistachio, Mint Chocolate, Blueberry). I will have a video soon to share all the details and how to make this card and ink swatches. Also, if you are collecting the Mini Ink Cubes, they have those too!

They also released some yummy Jewel Tone Inks. There are also 6 colors in this collection.

These new inks are DELICIOUS! These names are just as awesome: Rhodolite, Red Jasper, Raw Amber, Green Opal, Green Onyx, and Tanzanite. Check them all out here. And of course, they also offer them in the Mini Ink Cubes size!

Is that enough cards for me today? Let’s get on to the giveaway info!!
