Hello, I am so happy that it’s pumpkin time…I have a pumpkin patch card to share with you today. I’m using some new stencils from Miss Ink Stamps with some of my favorite stamp sets!
I have an ALL-TIME favorite pumpkin dessert that is only available this time of year. It is from Vito’s Italian Restaurant and is called Pumpkin Crunch Cake. It is so so good! I’ve tried to re-create it several times with no luck. So I just have to settle for eating it while it’s available this month only! I couldn’t stop thinking about it while creating this card.
For the background, I added some glitter gel (I love a bit of glitter on my card!) I share all the details in the video!
I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!
Thanks for stopping by! Do you have a favorite pumpkin or fall snack?
Hello! Today I’m thrilled to be sharing the new November subscription kit from the Hedgehog Hollow. It’s a winter wonderland of products, with lots of great stamps, stencils, and other crafty goodies!
I have prepared a short video sharing what is included in the kit, and a card! Watch it below or in HD on YouTube:
Isn’t that snowman so happy!? I love him.
Today I only used the stamps from the kit, but there are also many awesome stencils that I can’t wait to use!

Hello and welcome to the Altenew November 2021 Sparkle and Shine Collection release Blog Hop & Giveaway!
I am so excited to share SIX projects with you today with this new release. There are so many awesome products, and I just couldn’t stop making!
Card 1 & 2: Stunning Starflowers
This new Stunning Starflowers stamp set is a gorgeous Layering Stamp set! I wanted to create a RED flower first (since it reminded me of a Poinsettia). I used the new Crossweaves 3d Embossing Folder for the background…isn’t that design just so stunning?
For this one, I created a yellow background with the awesome Illusion Diamonds stamp set. The sentiment is also from the same Illusion Diamonds set (there are 9 sentiments in this set with this beautiful sans-serif font)!
Card 3: Coloring with a Stencil
The new In the Woodland stamp set also has a coordinating coloring stencil, so you can color up this beautiful floral SO FAST! I loved this stencil…and I used some pinks and greens to get a soft color.
Card 4 & 5: Tree Mix
Oh, I love these die sets where you can MIX and MATCH the elements to get a different look. This new Tree Mix Die Set is a new favorite of mine!
There are so many options to mix and match the background of the tree, with the tree “branches.” For this first card, I inked up the background in greens, added some cream colored trees (with a little tan ink blending around the edges). For the tree branches, I cut out different dies with Altenew Gradient glitter paper!
Oh, now to the Fancy Star Builder Stencil. I am in love with building different stars and looks with colors, and this one I created the stars to look like snowflakes!
Of course, I had to add some glitter and sparkle…so a little glitter gel on the top layer was just perfect!
For the word SNOW, I die cut out the background with THIS Alpha die, then added some cardstock to build it up before re-attaching the letters.
If you’d rather Stamp these Stars, there is also a Fancy Star Builder Stamp set! Try different color combos and have fun!
New INKS!
BUT WAIT…there’s more! Altenew has also released new ink colors and they are yummy! I fell in love with the new Frozen Delights Ink Set…. just take a look at these colors:
There are SIX new colors in this set (I love the names, too: Strawberry, Orange Sorbet, Lemon Ice, Pistachio, Mint Chocolate, Blueberry). I will have a video soon to share all the details and how to make this card and ink swatches. Also, if you are collecting the Mini Ink Cubes, they have those too!
They also released some yummy Jewel Tone Inks. There are also 6 colors in this collection.
These new inks are DELICIOUS! These names are just as awesome: Rhodolite, Red Jasper, Raw Amber, Green Opal, Green Onyx, and Tanzanite. Check them all out here. And of course, they also offer them in the Mini Ink Cubes size!
Is that enough cards for me today? Let’s get on to the giveaway info!!

Hello! Today I have some easy Halloween backgrounds to share with you, along with a story about Mr. Spooky. See, I saw this skeleton die cut and it reminded me of this story I had to tell you…so I made a couple cards and a video.
Isn’t he cute?! I couldn’t wait to create a card with him holding this giant lantern! Lol.
Watch the video (and hear about Mr. Spooky) below or in HD on YouTube:
I used my FAVORITE brick embossing folder for this first card on black paper, and highlighted parts of it with gesso. This made parts of the brick background really reflect some light.
I also added some cream cardstock behind that lantern to make it pop off the bricks.
For the second card, I heat embossed that damask stamp onto a Stormy Metallic cardstock. I used a new rainbow glitter embossing powder that looks amazing on this cardstock.
The sentiments are from the All Seasons Sentiments paper pack. These sentiments are foilable, but I wanted to keep them black for these Halloween cards.
I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!
I share the story of my Nephew and his skeleton he calls “Mr. Spooky” on the video! I love that kid.
Hello! It’s Kari here with another card using products from the Hedgehog Hollow October kit. These stencils are amazing and make it so easy to make a fabulous card!
For this card I first inked up a card panel with the 4 Layer Stencil.
The nurses hat and 1/2 the pill in blue
The heart, other 1/2 pill and nurse hat insignia in red
The pills and asterisk in green
The Stethoscope and syringe in grey
I used mostly Distress inks and Maker Forte inks for these.
Once that was done, I put the heartbeat stencil over the top and inked it on with black ink. I love this heartbeat stencil….I think it would also make a great LOVE card with the sentiment “You make my heart skip a beat!”
To finish off this card, I used one of the simple sayings in the kit and popped it up with foam tape.
I added a black mat and DONE! This kit makes it so easy to create a quick, fantastic card! I hope you enjoyed this project.
Hi I'm Kari. I'm a creator, a card maker, and a day maker! I am Lucky in love to a supportive husband, blessed to raise 3 kids (all moved away now!), and happy to be watched over by 2 dogs.
I originally started this blog to remind me to be happy amid adversity, and I hope it inspires you, too!
