Deck the Halls!

Hello! Today I have a fun ornament card to share using a new Maker Forte stamp set. I love how large this ornament is, it really creates a full card just by itself.

For this stamp, I used some watercolor markers to color up the stamp itself. First I colored the leaves with a green marker and added some darker greens to just portions of the leaves. I spritzed that with water and stamped it down. Then I used a red marker to color the berries, spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it down.

To color the ornament, I used the A2 Circle Spotlight stencil to mask around the ornament and slowly ink blended on a couple green inks. I made portions darker to give it more dimension (so it looks more round).

Next, I added the ornament topper with a light grey ink and colored it with grey Copic markers. I added an extra sprig of greenery by the topper for more festive look!

I heat embossed both the sentiment and the topper with embossing powders. I used my favorite Rainbow Sparkler embossing powder for that “Deck the Halls.”

I matted the whole panel with red cardstock and added it all to the card base. That’s it!

I’m using some cute stamps and a new stencil called Cuppa Joe to Go from Miss Ink Stamps. Watch the video below or on YouTube:

These gift card holders are perfect to add into a stocking, hang on the tree or use them like I am this year: as a necklace around a Squishmallow!

Give Thanks

Hello! Today I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! I have created some fun Thanksgiving (as well as holiday cards) to share.

All these cards (and signs) have one thing in common: FOIL! I’m sharing how to make all these cards using vellum or acetate AND Foil on the latest Foiling Friday at Maker Forte.

Watch the video below:

I LOVED creating these cards, including shaker cards using a full sheet of acetate! That penguin card might be my favorite…but I did make many mistakes on that card. I share HOW to fix them and create a fun look.

November 2022 Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Welcome to the Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop with Altenew and talented designers! I am so excited to be a part of this hop. I will be sharing several projects from the latest release HERE, so let’s get started!

1) Radial Circles Die

I absolutely fell in love with the new cover plate die called Radial Circles Die. It is so beautiful and you can use it with so many Altenew sets! Today I used the new Rose Buds Layering stencil and die set, which is GORGEOUS!! Look at those beautiful roses and I just used a stencil! Wow, just wow!

Those roses are amazing! Here I used two of them together to create a little swag for my card. The thanks sentiment die is THIS ONE.

2. We’ve Got Chemistry

Next I have the new Chemistry Vases with stencil and die set. This is such a fun set with lots of great sentiments for that science geek! I love it with the Concentric Circles embossing folder in the background.

I started with some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock for this background and inked on some darker browns around the edges. Then I used THIS embossing folder. Such a neat look!

The Chemistry Vases set is so fun, with a couple choices of images and stamps to use along with them. How fun is that birthday sentiment?!

This is a very unique and fun set and I know I’ll get many, many fun cards with it.

3. Botanical Illustrations

The new Botanical Illustrations is a gorgeous floral set with layering stamps and a stencil option. I love options! Here I also used THIS beautiful embossing folder and then spritzed it with ink spray for a fun background.

I know, I know..those flowers are really beautiful, aren’t they?!

4. Bonus card

Since I had some of the leaves and an extra embossed background, I created a simple card with them. Sometimes simple is just what you need!

I love all the sentiments in this Kindness stamp set. And I might be falling in love with kraft backgrounds again! That embossing folder is this one HERE.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

SUNSHINE-Ice-Bouquet-card-3

Ice Bouquet

Hello! Today I have a quick holiday card to share with you. I’m using the new Ice Bouquet stamp set from Maker Forte. It’s such a beautiful image!

For this card, I stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers. Then I used the Candy Cane stripe stencil to ink on some light inks in red and green. I did not mask the image off, but I was careful to not ink over the image.

I added some Stardust Stickles (my favorite!) over the ice skate for some glittery shine. Then I finished it off with some iridescent sequins.

I’m often asked what supplies I use to make my cards and projects, so I’ve put together a list using affiliate links when possible. If you make a purchase with these links I may receive a small commission. These help me to keep up with blog costs and continue bringing you fun projects. Thank you so much for your support!

I hope you enjoyed this project today! Thanks for stopping by!
