Cherry Blossoms in Bloom!

Hello! It’s Kari with a new video to share. Today I’m creating a spring card using the Magnolia Sympathy stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps. These flowers make perfect cherry blossoms.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I love this set for spring…you really can have a lot of fun building up any bouquet look. Here I stamped the branches and extra flowers and leaves to create my bundle.

After I stamped on the flowers, I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil to add some shades of blue.

I added some Grit Paste through the Heirloom Blooms stencil. It reminds me of pollen…and that’s a perfect nod to Spring!! LOL.

Then I added some of the extra flowers and leaves with foam tape for some dimension. This was a fun card to create! I hope you enjoy!

Stealing a Kiss under the Umbrella!

Hello! Today I have a card with a couple stealing a kiss under the umbrella! I’m using the new J’Adore card Kit from Scrappy Tails Crafts.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

This card kit has so much included: a large stamp set, a die set, a 6×6 paper pad, a layering stencil, and two packs of embellishments! Watch the video to see all that is included in the kit.

For this card I used the die set, the stamp set and some of the embellishments out of the kit. This die set is such a delight to work with! There is a base layer that allows you to add on each of the details of the die. I used ink blending to color up the elements this time, except for the skin…for that I colored with Copic markers.

That Scooter is from the stamp set…and I colored it up with blue markers. I love the idea of a scooter on a cobblestone path!

Sending All the Bug Hugs

Hello! It’s Kari and I’m sending all the Bug Hugs today with this shaker card. I love a sweet shaker card, especially when it has happy bugs! Lol.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

How happy are these bugs?! They certainly make me smile! This could be used as a Valentines card, but it also really could be for any occasion. I started with a panel that was already on my desk. I had cut 2 squares out of it for another card, but I didn’t want to throw the rest of the panel away. Unfortunately, the square cuts were SO CLOSE to the edge that I wasn’t sure I would be able to use it for anything.

No worries! To fix this, I cut two additional square frames from Hot Pink cardstock and glued them to the back of the cut squares in the panel. It fixed it so I was able to get skinny foam tape around the squares to make this shaker card!! Yay!

I show you just how to make this shaker card in my video, I hope you’ll go take a look!

I love the colors of the Unicorn Dreams Sparkle Mix, I think they complement this card perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this project today! I’ll be back with more cards to share soon. Until then, Big Bug Hugs to you!

Sweet Spa Valentine with Vellum

Hello! Today I have a Sweet Spa Valentine with Vellum featuring some stencils and stamps from Miss Ink Stamps.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

How cute is that furry doggie?! I love the colors pink and grey together so I went with that color scheme for this card.

This card was so fun to make! I started out by stenciling on those large paw prints with some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Then I die cut a heart from some light pink cardstock. I stenciled on the heart paw prints from the Pawstome Stencil using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

I cut a vellum heart just larger than the pink heart. This will diffuse the background and draw the eye to the center of the card.

After coloring the image and stamping the sentiment, I put it all together using foam tape and liquid adhesive. For all the details, enjoy the short process video.

Valentine Heart Box

Hello! I’ve got the sweetest Valentine Heart Box to share with you today. I love a good heart box that fits plenty of chocolates, and this one is perfection!

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I actually made one of these boxes last year, but THIS YEAR I added the heart add-on to my collection and I couldn’t wait to make a see-through box top!

How sweet is this box?! I used a clear acetate-like sheet for this box topper. The Heart add-on set is what allowed me to cut that opening for this box! So sweet. I added some paper chocolate truffles on top and REAL chocolates inside. I am really in love! <3

I also tried some Ferrero Rocher chocolates inside and they work just as well! You could easily fit more than five inside (like pictured below), but I loved the addition of shredded paper to snuggle those chocolates inside.

The pink box is one I made last year and oh did I have fun!

Beautiful Chocolate covered strawberries!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! I’ll be back soon with more papercrafting. Happy Day!
