Day 3: Rainbow Die Cuts

Today we worked on Rainbow Die cuts. Nichole Spohr showed us specifically how to cut strips of paper to use as a rainbow on your card.I started out with this on my desk:

OH boy, here we go…this is a bit of work to get all lined up on a base in order to die cut. But here are my cards and I was so happy with them!

What do you think? So pretty, right?!

You can bet I used the negative of each of these for a card, too! I’ll share them as soon as I have finished them. Really loving class!

Day 2: Rainbow Stamping

Today in Rainbow Maker Class we explored rainbow stamping. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire to make this card:

Do you arrange your clothes by color in your closet? I definitely do, and I think that yellow dress needs to be in my size! Which color do you want? Smile, It will look good on you!

All stamps by Waffle Flower.

Rainbow Maker: Hugs Sequin Card

I was inspired by Laura Bassen (and Jennifer McGuire) to make this card:

It may not look like it, but there are over 200 sequins (4 mm) on this card, each placed one-by-one! This was definitely a labor of love. I think it was worth it, don’t you?

Loving this class so far.

Rainbow Maker Day 1

What a great day of class today at Online Card Classes: Rainbow Maker. We started out with Kristina Werner showing us many ways to blend ink and create rainbow cards. Here’s my first samples:

day 1 inking backgrounds

The last one is actually inking AND stenciling as taught by Laura Bassen. SO, for my first card I used that first background (made with Distress Inks) and made this card:

The “Look for Miracles” stamp is from Simon Says Stamp. And the flowers stamp is from Waffle Flower. Part of the miracle is that there is a purple flower even though there is not a purple stripe above! Lol.

I added a few sequins and some glitter embossing powder to the top. Oh, and some stickles glitter to the flowers. Love how it turned out!
