Hi, today I have a soft and beautiful floral card to share with you. I just got a new stencil that I love and I decided to dry emboss it first, then add some color using distress ink and a little colored pencil.
Isn’t this a glorious flower? Here is another photo where you can see the embossing:
Sometimes I just need to to make a flower come alive with color! “Where flowers bloom, so does hope” is from the Peony Spray stamp set from Altenew. This stencil, called Poppy Bloom is also from Altenew and was perfect for today. So pretty, and the soft coloring was just like a hug for me. Hope on a card!
I hope you enjoyed this sweet and hopeful project today.
Wishing a very Happy 4th Birthday to Altenew!!
Beautiful card!
Could you give me instructions on how you got such a great impression and how you applied the ink?
Hi Kathy!
I took the stencil and ran in through my Big Shot with some Neenah Solar White paper (I think it was 80# paper). Then I put the stencil back on top of the now embossed image and used a finger dauber to apply the ink! So easy, but so beautiful, right?
