I love this Castle Arches die set…it is good for so many occasions and today it’s a dungeon with ghosts!
I created this background with Metallic cardstock and black paint in THIS VIDEO. I love how it looks.
I think ghosts creating potions in a dungeon is so funny! (Halloween sense of humor). Miss Ink Stamps has some great sets for creating this scene!
Can you find the black cat?! It’s from the Under the Stairs die set! I thought this scene needed a little cat to finish off the look. *Wink*

I hope you enjoyed this project today! Are you making Halloween cards yet? See you next time.
I started out with the Flower Fest stamp set, but if you don’t like coloring or want an easy SHORTCUT, try the Flower Fest Effortless Artistry Paper! The EAP is already colored for you and all you have to do is use the coordinating die to cut them all out! (I’ve linked both below for you to check out).
I arranged my favorite flowers around a Glitter cardstock cut to A2 card size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). Then I used a sentiment from the Gilded Expressions stamp set. There is also a coordinating die set for this so I can cut out ALL of the sentiments at once. I love this!
If you want FOILED sentiments, check out the Gilded Expressions Effortless Shimmer paper…where you can foil the sentiments, and cut them with the coordinating die!

Hello! Today I have a light up ghost card for you with a video! Watch the video below or on YouTube:
Today I’m using specialty paper from Your Paper Insider, but you could also use vellum or any specialty papers you want to try with lights! Please watch the video to see how this came together.
I die cut the ghost on a 5×7 panel of light pink cardstock, added the specialty paper to the back, lined up the One Light from Pear Blossom Press and marked the panel with a light pencil mark to see where I needed to put that “press” stamp. Once I had the placement, I stamped the “Press” with black ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Next, I added some delightful details, like the witches hat, bats, heart and hey boo sentiment cut out of glitter paper.
I love how the heart lights up and the heart diffuses the light a little more. I keep singing “Turn on Your Heart Light” (Neil Diamond fans, anyone?) Ha ha. That was a favorite of my Dad’s, but now it’s stuck in my head.
I just love the extra texture from the specialty paper. If you are interested in a subscription box where you get surprise papers from all around the world, check out Your Paper Insider (I’ve linked them below). I am not an affiliate for them, but I did love the box I got and wanted to share!
For my bonus card of course I wanted to use the pink ghost I cut out from the first card! here I put her together with a broom and pink skull & bones, and a little candy corn shape sprinkle from Doodlebug!
I used a candy corn background for this also, which I stenciled on to a black cardstock panel using oxide inks. Doesn’t it look a little spookier that way?

Arrrgh! Today is Talk Like a Pirate day and we are celebrating with a TREASURE Hunt at Whimsy Stamps!
I have a card to share and I dare you to find the hidden icon as a part of your TREASURE to collect! (visit the Whimsy Stamps & Inspiration Facebook Page for the full details of how to collect all the icons)
I usually add a touch of red to my pirate cards, but today I kept it fairly neutral with a touch of gold! I used the TREASURE Map die with coordinating TREASURE Map stamps, Arggh die, and the Spiders & Web die set. The little pirate mouse is from last years Whimsy STAMPtember collab stamp set! (no longer available)
For the sentiment, I added the Harlequin stencil with black glitter paste over gray paper. Then I die cut the word from that once it was completely dry. I think it adds a fun texture and design to the word!

Hi I'm Kari. I'm a creator, a card maker, and a day maker! I am Lucky in love to a supportive husband, blessed to raise 3 kids (all moved away now!), and happy to be watched over by 2 dogs.
I originally started this blog to remind me to be happy amid adversity, and I hope it inspires you, too!
